12-Year-Old Girl Dies After Fight With Middle School Classmate – Crime Online

Georgia police are investigating the death of a 12-year-old girl who was reportedly in a fight with a classmate last week.

Jada West died on March 8, three days after she collapsed near her Villa Rica home and suffered a coma. WSB-TV reported that on March 5, the Mason Creek Middle School student got into a fight with another girl after getting off the school bus.

Cellphone footage of the altercation apparently shows West falling and passing out. Though West eventually walked away from the fight, she collapsed — leading one of her friends to run to her mother’s home and tell her what happened.

WSB-TV reported that West suffered cardiac heart failure and died the next day.

It is unclear what started the deadly altercation, but West’s family said she was having issues at school with a boy and a girl.

Villa Rica police confirmed to WXIA that they and the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident. West’s autopsy report is pending.
