16-Year-Old Boy Charged With Shooting Deaths of Cousins Found in Crashed Car – Crime Online

A 16-year-old Georgia boy has been arrested and charged with the murder of two cousins who were found shot to death after a car crash earlier this month in Forest Park.

Investigators found Edwin Dominguez, 23, and Jonathan Bustamante Zuniga, 21, dead in a car involved in crash on November 5, WSB reported.

The 16-year-old is in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice and has not been identified. He was taken into custody on Monday, WXIA reported.

“We are all devastated by the tragedy that took the lives of 2 loved ones,” family members of Zuniga and Dominguez wrote on GoFundMe. “They were taken from us at such a young age. They had a life full of ambitious goals ahead of them. If you knew them, you would know how smart, humble, and hard-working young men they were.”

Forest Park police said the two men were shot and killed inside a car, which was thrown into reverse and hit a parked car and a mailbox. Police said they believe the teen was inside the car when the shooting took place.

Police said they believe the shooting was a drug deal gone wrong, but family members of the two slain men said they don’t believe that’s the case.

The alleged shooter has been charged with two counts each of felony and malice murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and gun possession charges. Detectives are still investigating.
