17-Year-Old Held in Quadruple Murder; His Mom & Her Boyfriend Charged as Accessories – Crime Online

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested for a quadruple murder in California, and the boy’s mother and her boyfriend have been charged as accessories to the homicide.

Reedley Police Chief Joe Garza said that investigators don’t believe the teen acted alone in killing 81-year-old Billy Bonds, 44-year-old Guadalupe Bonds, 61-year-old Darrell Bonds, and 43-year-old Matthew Bonds, according to KGPE.

Billy, Guadalupe, and Darrell Bonds were found dead in a home on South Church Avenue in Reedley on Saturday, and Matthew Bonds was found dead on Tuesday in the backyard of the house next door — where officers also found the 17-year-old suspect.

The teen has not been named. His mother, 34-year-old Brynn Curtis, and her 21-year-old boyfriend, Rafael Gonzalez, have already bonded out of jail, Garza said.

“We know there are other people possibly involved in this,” said Garza. “My belief is the 17-year-old did not commit this on his own. So we are actively searching for other suspects, other people with information that may know what occurred, may have direct information on what occurred. And we will not stop our investigation until this investigation comes to a complete closure.”

Police have not released a cause of death, but Garza said the victims suffered “substantial, violent wound injuries.”

The chief said detectives had also seized three vehicles and recovered multiple weapons in the course of the investigation.

The 17-year-old is being held in a juvenile center and is due in court on Thursday.

Reedley police have not revealed a motive in the murders.
