2 Girls Found Dead in Suitcases Identified, Mother Charged With Murder – Crime Online

A 28-year-old Cleveland woman has been charged with aggravated murder in the deaths of two young girls found partially buried in suitcases earlier this week.

Police officials said that Aliyah Henderson was the girls’ mother, WJW reports.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as Amor Wilson, 10, and Mila Chatman, 8. The office had previously said DNA testing had shown the girls to be half sisters, as CrimeOnline reported.

The two girls’ bodies were found on Monday when a citizen’s dog alerted on a spot off the beaten path. The dog walker called 911, and responded officers found the first suitcase and body, then found the second one nearby.

Police executed a search warrant Wednesday night and took Henderson into custody for questioning before charging her.

WOIO reported that a third child was found in the home and is now in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services. That child appeared to be in good health, police said.

A cause of death for the two girls has not yet been determined.
