2 Killed in Mysterious Car Explosion at U.S.-Canada Border – Crime Online

Four crossings at the U.S.-Canada border were closed on Wednesday after two people were reportedly killed in a car explosion in New York.

Sources told CBS that the deadly explosion occurred at Rainbow Bridge near Niagara Falls. The sources also claimed that the explosion appears intentional, though details are scarce.

A witness told CBS that he was walking in the area and saw the vehicle speeding from the U.S. towards the Canadian border.

According to The New York Times, officials have not yet found any explosive devices at the scene. An official told the publication that the vehicle went airborne and struck a cement pillar before the explosion. They said it was possible the car exploded from the impact of that collision.
