5-Year-Old Boy, Subject of Amber Alert, May Be Dead, Affidavit Says – Crime Online

A 5-year-old boy who is the subject of an Amber Alert in Ohio may be dead.

According to an affidavit, Darnell Taylor’s legal guardian called 911 and said that he believed his wife. Pammy Maye, had killed the boy, who hadn’t been seen alive since Monday or Tuesday, WCMH reported.

The document says that he searched his Columbus house before he called police and that Maye put her hand over his mouth while he was on the phone and told him she had a plan.

Then, the affidavit says, she fled the home.

Ohio authorities issued an Amber Alert just after 5 a.m. on Wednesday, saying that Maye left the house with the boy about two hours earlier, as CrimeOnline reported. A warrant filed for her arrest charges her with kidnapping and endangering children.

Maye’s car was found at an apartment complex in a Cleveland suburb just before 6 a.m. and were towing it back to Columbus.

While homicide detectives are investigating, Maye has not been charged with murder, and police have not said if they have a body. The Amber Alert is still active.

Wednesday night officers and a K9 unit continued to search the areas around the Parkview Estates apartment complex.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-877-AMBER-OH (1-877-262-3764), Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477), the Columbus police tip line at 614-645-2228 or 911 to be transferred directly to the investigating law enforcement agency.
