BRADFORD, Pa. (TCN) —Â A man faces charges for allegedly assaulting and inflicting injuries on his 2-year-old son, who died.
According to the McKean County District Attorney’s Office, on the morning of Aug. 14, police and emergency medical services personnel responded to a home on Sherman Street to a report of an unresponsive child. The juvenile was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The district attorney’s office said the father faces charges of aggravated assault causing bodily injury to a child less than 6, aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury to a child less than 13, and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly injuring his 2-year-old son between July 17 and Aug. 14.
According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, further charges are possible pending the victim’s autopsy.
A judge set Prescott’s bail at $1 million, and he was remanded to the McKean County Jail.
Bradford Police previously arrested Prescott in March 2021 on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
