The summer season is beginning to end, so Andy Cohen and his kids, 6-year-old Benjamin Allen Cohen and three-year-old Lucy Cohen,, are reflecting on the good times they’ve had in recent months.
The host of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen brought “Wistful End of Summer Musings” to Instagram on August 26, just prior to the three-day Labor Day weekend and the unofficial end of the season. He spoke emotionally into the camera, wearing a cozy sweater outdoors with his hair wild in the breeze, presumably from his dream Hamptons beach house in Amagansett. He asked his son, who started off-screen, about his “favorite part of summer,” to which the young boy answered, “You hanging out with us … and going to The Lobster Roll with us… and reading books to us.”
“That’s been really good for me too, man; I love hanging out with you,” Andy said with an expression of gratitude and contemplation. “Wow…”
Ben was likely referring to the iconic Lobster Roll AKA Lunch eatery in Amagansett, a place Andy and the kids recently visited when grandparents Evelyn and Lou Cohen were in town.
Andy’s only son then came partially into the picture after the single father asked about camp, wrapping his arm around his father’s neck to show him his watch. The big brother took a moment to take a picture with the accessory and commemorate their time together. According to Benjamin, he would grab a snap with his dad for “every time you be nice.”

How Andy Cohen’s kids bonded with Southern Charm’s Shep Rose
Speaking of fond memories, earlier this summer, Andy and Bravoleb Shep Rose had a glorious run-in in The Hamptons, during which the Southern Charm-er taught Ben how to fish in the ocean.

“I gotta tell you something; you can tell the measure of a person by how they are with your kids,” Andy recounted on his Sirius XM show, Radio Andy. “He walked on the beach — and you know, Shep, I’ve always characterized like a Golden Retriever — but he walked on the beach, and Ben immediately ran over to him because he saw the fishing rod, and he’s like, ‘Are you going fishing?’ And Shep’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ll teach you how to do it, come here.’”
Continued the WWHL host, “He spent a really good amount of time with Ben, trying to teach him how to fish, and so did his friend. Then he let Ben bury him in the sand … It touched my heart. I was like, ‘This is very sweet.’”

At the start of peak season in The Hamptons, Andy raised a toast to weekends out East, and since then, he’s been sharing glimpses into family life during the summer.
