Phaedra Parks is making two major career moves. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom of two has held numerous roles throughout her career, including those of mortician, business owner, author, and lawyer. But, she’s now “excited” to take on two new roles.
Phaedra took to Instagram on Sept. 1, where she announced that she will be the 2026 Grand Marshal for Krewe of Athena. “I am so excited to not only be a part of your all-female crew, but to celebrate with you this Mardi Gras season, and to be a part of a club that celebrates community service, sisterhood, fellowship, and fun,” she said in her video announcement.
Days later, on Sept. 3, Phaedra took to Instagram where she revealed that she had been a part of a panel to talk about her experience on The Traitors, as she was a cast member on Season 2 of the show. “Thank you to the Emmys’ Televerse for inviting me to be a part of The Traitors panel,” she wrote in the caption of the post.Â
“What an honor to share the stage with such gifted actors and trailblazing leaders,” she added.
Porsha Williams then took to the comments of the post where she showed her support for her BFF. “Best traitor ever,” she wrote, along with three flame emojis. “Beautiful.”
Phaedra Parks opens up about what she wants to do next in her career
Although Phaedra is so busy already, she has plans to pursue more passions and hobbies. In a May interview with The Daily Dish, she revealed that she wants to pursue her interest in floral design.
“You know, I like to do things that complement my other jobs. And I love flowers,” she explained, admitting that she likes to make floral “arrangements” in her spare time.

“I’m always like, ‘Wow, I should get into floral design and maybe become a florist,’ because it could complement the funeral home,” she added. “You know, people order flowers for funerals, and I could supply funerals and I could supply flowers to the funeral homes.”
But, she’s OK with it remaining a hobby for now. “I just love [it],” she continued. “It’s so peaceful being creative.”

Becoming a floral designer isn’t the only thing that Phaedra is interested in. During a July 2 episode of Carter’s Cocktails, Phaedra admitted that she would like to get into politics in the future.

“What have I not done that I wanted to do? Not much,” she admitted. “Because anything I have wanted to do, I have manifested it. But you know what? What I do love, and a lot of people don’t know this, [is] politics. That’s the one thing I really haven’t done that I used to say I would do.”Â
