There’s nothing sweeter than seeing the kiddos head back for another school year, but things now look a little different for The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga and her pair of wild teen boys this time around.
“Yep – that’s it. That’s the pic,” the mom of three captioned a September 4 Instagram post, which showed Melissa and Joe Gorga’s sons, Gino Gorga, 17, and Joey Gorga Jr., 14, flipping the bird as they walked away from the house. Wearing their backpacks, the youngest stuck out his tongue for added effect, while mom added the hashtags “senior” and “sophomore” to mark their high school years.
Joe Gorga commented, “My Boys,” while big sister, Antonia Gorga, stated, “That looks about right,” with a series of cry-laughing emojis. “I’m crying,” the college freshman said in a separate comment. Meanwhile, Rachel Fuda said the “joke’s on them” since Melissa managed to get the snap in time, while Dolores Catania stated, “So cute.”
The Real Housewives of Miami’s Larsa Pippen and Alexia Nepola jumped on board to share more laughing emojis.
In addition to the PG-13 pic, Melissa paid tribute to the boys by sharing a couple of throwback photos from their younger back-to-school days, as she has done over the years.

Ahead of a new academic year, Melissa shared a shocking back-to-school tradition in which her son, Joey, debuted a crookedly chopped haircut only weeks ago.

“And then this happened,” said the Sprinkle by MG founder. Melissa explained the reason behind the head-turning look: “The new sophomores always have to let the seniors give them a haircut.”
This time last year, Melissa gushed over a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, that Gino and Joey Jr. were “off to high school together for the 1st time.” As she put it, “I love their bond and want them to stay like this forever. I literally can’t believe Joey is starting high school. My baby. I love them so much.”
Meanwhile, Antonia just returned to the University of Delaware for her junior year in college, with a fancy new Porsche to boot, something she got around her 20th birthday celebration.

With their two youngest in high school, Melissa and Joe never miss an opportunity to remind one another how much they love each other as parents. Take, for example, Melissa praising Joe’s fathering skills when commemorating their 21st anniversary.

“21 years with this man,” she wrote on Instagram. “All I want to be is a beautiful example of what marriage is to these kids we made together.” With a heart, she continued, “So far, I think we are doing a great job. Happy anniversary [Joe Gorga], I’ll always be by your side.”
In his own video post, the RHONJ House Husband and family man stated his wedding anniversary was “one of my favorite days of the year.”
Said the real estate developer, “Twenty-one years later, I’m still in love with this woman, I love her, she’s amazing, she’s beautiful, you’re gorgeous.” In the caption, he wrote, “Happy Anniversary to my amazing, beautiful wife! I love spending time with you. [Twenty-one] years went by so quick.”
On August 21, Melissa noted Joe’s patriarchal influence when she shared a fabulous photo of the family in New York City to celebrate the father’s 51st birthday. On Instagram, she called her husband “Best daddy and hardest worker in the room always.”
