There is no place like home for the holidays, especially when you love the spooky season as much as Halloween actress Kyle Richards.
The diamond holder from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recently headed to her local home decor store to browse their festive selection of Halloween goodies. She re-posted a September 4 video to her Instagram Stories, in which a woman behind the phone asked Kyle, “You really think you need this?” and by ‘this,’ she meant a wickedly large metallic lawn decoration of a witch riding a bicycle.
For Kyle, it was, “Yeah, I actually do,” as she struggled to fit the item into her shopping cart. “This is exciting, and you know it.”
She also wrote alongside the Story, “’Tis the Season,” adding a jack-o-lantern for aesthetics.
Kyle’s friend called it “a remake of [Kyle] in Aspen with [her] shopping bags,” to which Kyle laughed and joked, “Where are your Hermès bags?” (It was a reference to one of the Housewife’s many holidays in her favorite ski resort town, when she rode her bicycle with armfuls of the designer’s red shopping bags.)
Kyle hoped to put the witch in her place … in front of her home, that is. The only thing scaring her this year? She was “scared someone’s gonna steal it.”
Kyle Richards’ past Halloween home transformations
The new decor is by no stretch of the imagination Kyle’s first time transforming her Encino home for Halloween. Last year, she gave fans a front-row seat into her cozy Halloween-themed sitting area, featuring a black cat, pumpkin, and ghostly figures near a working fireplace.

In 2023, Kyle went all out with a delightfully terrifying black-and-white tablescape, with plates printed with poisons and crows, and a long, black runner filled with small orange and white pumpkins galore, plus lit candles of all sizes. She wrote over the post, “Witchy things here.” One year earlier, the house was aglow with changing colored lights to illuminate the home in every eerie shade.
Suffice it to say, Kyle’s love for the holiday dates way back. As Kyle so boldly stated of the fall season back in 2020, “Yep, I’m that girl.” It’s no wonder since Kyle played little Lindsey Wallace in the 1978 classic horror film, Halloween, alongside legendary scream queen and longtime BFF Jamie Lee Curtis. Kyle reprised her role in the franchise’s Halloween Kills (2021) and Halloween Ends (2022).
Kyle Richards offers an update on her home life
When the girl mom of four isn’t rounding up witches, she’s indeed rounding up the dogs with half a dozen of them at home. The dog lover shared an Instagram Story with a few of the pups: golden retriever Bambi, German shepherd Luna, Bernese mountain dog Georgie, mixed-breed Storm, and Romeo the Pomeranian in an August 29 post. As they slept, Kyle reflected: “Some days are so chill.”

She later said, “I’m envious of this level of relaxation.”
Mixed-breed Smokey was not in the IG Story.
Meanwhile, the two youngest of Kyle’s four daughters, Sophia Umansky, 25, and Portia Umansky, 17 — whom Kyle shares with estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky — still live at home to keep Kyle on her toes. Seeing her youngest off for her first day as a high school senior was a major milestone Kyle recently shared, and “A little reminder to enjoy every moment.”
