Andy Cohen is sharing new details about his journey with taking a GLP-1 to help him lose weight and address health issues.
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host took to his Sirius XM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, on Sept. 9, where he opened up about this topic. The longtime reunion host noted that he felt the need to be honest about this journey, “given that for 20 years, I have been asking people about their body regimens.”
“I do think it would be completely hypocritical not to share that I did, this summer, lose a good chunk of weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1 all summer,” he explained.
“I was really unhappy with my weight,” he continued. “My doctor and I talked about this last year, had recommended a GLP-1 a few times, to not only address what I was feeling about my weight, but treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure. This is a medication that is actually beneficial to a lot of elements of health. And I finally said yes.”
Andy Cohen reveals how taking a GLP-1 changed his relationship with food
He admitted on the radio show that in his experience, taking the medication was beneficial in helping him rethink his relationship with food. “I have to say, it really helped me with cravings,” he said. “Which I was having a really hard time with, and really forcing myself to be more disciplined with my diet and with working out.”

“I will say, my appetite returned from the micro-dose, but I feel like it caused me to reframe my relationship with food because it was really s—ty before this,” he noted.
Andy Cohen admits he’s still working with his fitness trainer
Although Andy did take a GLP-1 this summer, he revealed that he is still working out with his personal trainer, Stanislav “Stani” Kravchenko. “I am on a pretty rigorous health journey with Stani, who is like, ‘OK, if you’re going to do this,’ he put me on way heavier weights,” Andy explained, noting that people can lose muscle mass by being on a GLP-1.
“So my fitness has never been better,” he added. “Also, no excess snacking or drinking. I am still drinking, but not crazy and perhaps the most importantly, I’m not snacking.”
The dad of two admitted that he is not ashamed of this new health journey. “I feel great about this decision,” he said. “And how hypocritical would I be to not say it? And I did always plan to say it.”

“And, by the way, I should mention, I feel privileged to have access to a GLP-1, and I think everybody should, through insurance,” he continued. “This is a revolutionary drug. I’m so happy also to have been on this journey under the care of a doctor and working with a trainer to make sure that we have done this right.”
Speaking of Andy’s trainer, Stani opened up about Andy’s weight loss journey back in 2020.
