The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Bronwyn Newport seems to have a theory as to why Lisa Barlow might need to have six lawyers on retainer.

In a new preview for the RHOSLC Season 6 premiere (set to air Tuesday, Sept. 16), the cast — including Bronwyn, Angie Katsanevas, Heather Gay, Mary Cosby, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, and friend Britani Bateman — are discussing Lisa’s “weird” absence from a snowy RV camping trip when the conversation turns to her alleged legal troubles.

“Well, she hasn’t shared anything with me, but, I mean, I read what’s online and I think that there’s a lot out there,” Whitney says in the above clip, before vaguely referencing some “crazy accusations” unnamed people have publicly made about Lisa.

Meredith, meanwhile, chimes in to say that she heard secondhand that “everything was situated,” and Heather and Britani both confirm that Lisa told them the rumors were “all bulls—t” anyway.

“Um, it doesn’t sound that way to me,” Bronwyn cryptically replies. “What I’ve heard is that there’s multiple issues and that some of them are not done yet.”

As she elaborates in a confessional, “It’s interesting timing for Lisa to be too busy to go on a free girls’ trip. I mean, maybe she’s too busy reading about herself in the press. With all of her lawsuits, it’s just very convenient timing for Lisa’s schedule to be maxed out.”

Back at the picnic table, Bronwyn unpacks some of the allegations Lisa had repeated about her and the other women in the past, adding, “For somebody who talks an awful lot, maybe she should spend some of that time, like, workin’ on the stuff she’s gotta fix.”

Her statement prompts Angie to respond, “You seem like you know something that you don’t wanna say.”  Adds Heather, “Spit it out, Bronwyn, just say it.”

For now, though, all Bronwyn reveals to them is, “Lisa’s go-to accusation is all of us are liars when she doesn’t like what we say. And she is the one pointing it out and never sharing with us what’s hard or difficult or messy or, frankly, maybe even f–kin’ bulls–t about her own life.”

Where Lisa Barlow stands with the RHOSLC cast ahead of Season 6

Another first look at the RHOSLC premiere shows an earlier scene, in which Whitney and Britani wonder about Lisa’s whereabouts, while waiting for the RV to whisk them away on an unexpected camping expedition. That’s when Meredith fills them in that “Lisa’s not coming.”

In a confessional, Angie explains that “there was some fractures in some of the friendships” after the Season 5 reunion. As it turns out, Lisa is involved in at least three of the fallouts.

Elsewhere, Heather specifies that Angie, Whitney — and “especially” Bronwyn — are at odds with Lisa, at the start of the season.

Indeed, the RHOSLC Season 6 trailer already previewed the trio separately going toe to toe with Lisa, and Bronwyn specifically calls out the “lawsuits” to her face, in one of several heated confrontations.

Though Lisa at least appears to be on good terms with the rest of the snowflake holders for now, Heather could also eventually enter the fray, as the official Season 6 announcement teased that her “rift with Lisa continues to grow” throughout the episodes.

What else fans can expect from Lisa Barlow and Bronwyn Newport on RHOSLC Season 6

That’s all to say that in Season 6, “friendships are always on thin ice, and tensions between the women are hotter than ever” amid “plenty of drama, camp, and hijinks,” according to a press release.

For Lisa, that means, in addition to her friendships being tested over “swirling rumors, leaked information and … even hair products,” as the announcement teased, she’ll also be navigating “cracks” in her marriage to John Barlow.

“I feel like we’re on different pages,” Lisa admits to John in the Season 6 supertease. Later, a tarot card reader references the couple “rebuilding trust” to the emotional ‘Wife, and, elsewhere, Bronwyn and Whitney discuss secretly borrowed money from a “mystery man” potentially being at the center of their marital strife.

“This new season is so different, some parts are diabolical, some parts are really sad, some parts are frustrating,” Lisa explained to The Daily Dish in August. “I mean, it’s a really good season, but it feels very different from all of our other seasons.”

Bronwyn, meanwhile, “seeks to find a path forward in the group,” while also navigating heavy family issues at home, during Season 6.

“Bronwyn has relocated her parents to Salt Lake City after a series of health scares and a devastating diagnosis, but tensions reach a boiling point when her mother strikes a chord with her harsh critiques,” the announcement further reads.

The trailer shed some more light on the subject, showing Bronwyn fearing that husband Todd Bradley “misunderstands” her, while her mother opens up about being “disappointed” in her lifestyle choices.
