Maryland Cops Look for Woman Accused of Stabbing 81-Year-Old Grandmother to Death – Crime Online

Police in Maryland are looking for a 28-year-old woman suspected of killing her elderly grandmother and critically wounding another family member on Sunday.

Prince George’s County Police have issued warrants charging Breante Thomas with first- and second-degree murder in the stabbing death of 81-year-old Helen Thomas, along with first- and second-degree attempted murder and other related charges, WJLA reported.

Police were called to the home in Fort Washington just before 2 p.m. for a welfare check and found the victim with multiple stab wounds. She died at the scene.  Authorities said a male family member was also found with stab wounds, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he remained in critical but stable condition on Monday.

Thomas fled the home in a white 2012 Volkswagen Passat with Maryland tags 3FF3906.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 and not approach her. Callers can also contact a homicide unit detective at 301-516-2512.
