Scheana Shay is making no bones about it when it comes to the rumored rift between her and her Vanderpump Rules costar Lala Kent.
The “Good as Gold” entertainer’s recent statements to Page Six at their Virtual Reali-Tea Awards on Sept. 17 were the latest in the former SUR-vers’ back-and-forth, which seemingly began after the release of Scheana’s bestselling memoir, My Good Side. For a refresher, Scheana took issue with Lala’s promotion of the book — or lack thereof — and in response, Lala brushed her comments off and decided she would let “Scheana Scheana.”
“You know, I didn’t really like that, if I can be honest,” Scheana said on the red carpet, as seen on Instagram. “I feel like … I love her so much, but it’s, like, the subtle digs that I see, and I’m like, ‘I don’t really like that.’”
When asked about what she made of Lala’s comments from earlier this month (more on those below), Scheana answered, “She’s not taking accountability for why Scheana is Scheana-ing at the moment.”
However, Scheana did reveal that her tensions with Lala seemed to run deep.

Scheana claimed her “real issue” with Lala was steeped in something “personal,” not necessarily connected to reality TV, as seen on Instagram. “She knows what it is,” Scheana added.
And of the inner workings of Scheana and Lala’s friendship?
“You know, friendships ebb and flow, and what’s so weird — and I actually talk about this on my podcast that comes out on Friday — is the fact that we will talk about each other on our podcasts, and that’s how we converse,” Scheana continued. “We don’t text, we don’t call each other, there’s just, ‘Oh, you said this on your podcast? I’ll respond to it on my podcast.’ And I’m like, ‘Why can’t we just have a conversation?’”
Regardless, Scheana’s daughter Summer Moon Honey Davies and Lala’s daughters, Ocean Kent Emmett and Sosa Kent, remain close and even have plans for the upcoming weekend. In that sense, “We’re good,” Scheana said.

“I’ll just say Scheana Scheanas and I’m letting Scheana Scheana. I don’t know. I’m just here minding my own,” Lala said. “I’m going to talk about how I feel about Scheana. I don’t know where her head is at. Scheana is my friend. I love her. I love her family. She is like family to me. I am proud of her; I will say that over and over again because that’s what I mean, and that’s where my heart is.”
Lala said she didn’t believe Scheana had “ill intent” but continued about the rumors, “Do I care? Not really.”
