Scheana Shay is apologizing to Katie Maloney, weeks after revealing where they stand today. The Vanderpump Rules alum is clearing the air about their friendship after calling Katie “forgettable” weeks earlier.
Scheana took to her own podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay, on Sept. 19, where she apologized for calling Katie “forgettable” on a Sept. 8 episode of Gia Giudice’s Casual Chaos podcast. “It was shady and rude and uncalled for,” Scheana admitted. “It was just uncalled for.”
“But I feel with Katie and I, we’ve had so many ups and downs. But we’ve also had real friendship at times, and we’ve had such amazing breakthroughs,” she continued. “And then it’s one word, and not even that her and I are cool, hanging out or anything right now, but one word. And then it stirs it up.”
Scheana admitted that Katie and she are only “communicating” through podcast episodes at this point. “We don’t text each other. We don’t call each other anymore. We just do an episode of our podcast,” she added. “And it’s whenever Katie and I were one-on-one, we were so good.”

Scheana continued during the episode of her podcast, admitting that she wants to give Katie “some flowers” after she helped her through her 2016 divorce from her ex-husband, Mike Shay. Scheana had previously revealed that Mike had been exchanging “inappropriate text messages” with another woman prior to their divorce.
“She was there for me the night — the day — I found the messages between Shay and another woman,” the “Good as Gold” singer explained. “She never told the press. Like, even when we weren’t on good terms, she always kept those secrets. And she is one of those ride or die, really good friends. And you know, I strive to be more of that kind of friend.”

Scheana continued, sharing what she admires about the Something About Her sandwich shop co-owner. “But I do just want to say that I have a lot of respect for the fact that she, even when we weren’t good, was always a good friend,” Scheana admitted. “Because some of my closest friends, like as of more recently, haven’t kept secrets.”

“So it kind of made me look back on that and be like, ‘Damn, you were a good friend,'” she concluded.

Katie took to her own podcast, Disrespectfully, on Sep. 10, where she addressed Scheana’s comment in calling her “forgettable,” in the days before she apologized to her. “She was talking about me on another podcast. I’m forgettable,” Katie said.

“Go on girl, I don’t care,” she added. “But girl, I’ve actively put you out of my life on purpose, so please stop talking about me.”

Prior to these comments, Scheana also took to her podcast on Aug. 29, where she opened up about the last time she saw or spoke to Katie in person. “Haven’t seen or spoken to her in almost a year,” the My Good Side author admitted.
“So that’s where we stand — clearly far apart,” she added.
