Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas got into such a heated confrontation featured on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 trailer, that some are wondering if their once-close friendship will stay ice cold forever.
“You’re supposed to be my sister,” Mary accuses Angie, as seen in the video, as Angie argues, “I am your sister.” But Mary fires back, “No, you’re not, find another one, OK?”
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, Angie clarified her status with Mary during a Bravo HQ Live where she chatted with Bravo Insiders during the special livestreamed event, which you can watch above. (Don’t miss how you can become an Insider yourself and participate in upcoming HQ Lives!)
On the heels of the Season 6 premiere, Angie gave an update on her friendship with Mary, and dove deeper into what caused their beef in the first place. She also shared more on why she and Mary planned an RV camping trip as the first cast trip of Season 6 (which was met with a less than enthusiastic response from their fellow ‘Wives).

Are Angie Katsanevas and Mary Cosby friends today?
Angie wasted no time putting to bed the answer of her status with Mary: They are still friends.
“Mary and I move on. We’re like sisters,” she said of their relationship. “We’re both honest and real. We don’t have any kind of a dark history, we’ve just always been on a positive path. I feel like she knows I love her and she loves me.”

Angie dropped a few hints as to why she was arguing with Mary in the preview of the new season.
“I think we both speak our mind, and it at times causes rifts,” she explained.
But Angie also dropped clues that this particular fight began because Mary offered “advice” on something “she sees happening in real time.”
“She wanted to help me, and had great intentions. And for me, I just couldn’t see it in the moment, in the heated moment. But I saw later she had great intentions and just wanted the best,” Angie shared.
Angie pointed out that she and Mary are actually very similar people, and that can cause them to butt heads.

“We’re both very direct. We’re both very upfront. We say what we’re thinking,” Angie explained, and later added, “When you’re honest about how you really feel, there’s going to be conflict.”
But rather than take their argument as a negative, Angie saw it as a positive for their friendship.
“I think relationships grow from that. And you gain more respect, you know?” she added.

Despite both Angie and Mary attaching their name as host to what they called a “Class ‘A’ Getaway” in the Season 6 premiere, Mary seemed to have an issue with the accommodations. After Angie told the group, they’d be sleeping in the RV, Mary declared: “I don’t like it.” Whitney Rose also voiced her confusion as to how Mary planned this trip with Angie.
“When I think Mary Cosby, I think bougie, luxury, high end,” Whitney said. “White glove service. Dom Pérignon. I don’t think RV, so, really surprises me that Mary planned this trip. Like, does she know what we’re doing?”
Mary argued that she actually didn’t plan the trip.
“I don’t even know how my name got attached to this,” she said. “This is not me. This is not me.”

Despite her protestations, Angie called Mary a “great sport” about the unusual vacay, and explained her reasoning for choosing to camp in an RV.
“When I found out that Mary grew up in RVs, I just thought, ‘Wow, that’s how down to earth she is,'” Angie shared during her Bravo HQ Live. “She’s carrying beautiful purses, dresses, and looks like a million bucks. But she grew up getting in RVs.”
Angie later added, “I think for the two of us to share that with the ladies was special. I mean, I’m sure she’d have rather been in a five-star hotel, but…I think she was down, which I love that about Mary.”
