On The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Heather Gay explained that Utah “doesn’t really have socialites,” but if it did, Amy Steele would “definitely” be one of them.
“She lives in this huge house; she throws fabulous parties,” Heather said in a confessional on Season 6, Episode 2. “She’s kind of the who’s who of Salt Lake City.”
Later on the same episode, Heather and all of her castmates — including Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Angie Katsanevas, Meredith Marks, Bronwyn Newport, Whitney Rose, as well as friend Britani Bateman — along with partners John Barlow, Shawn Trujillo, Seth Marks, and Justin Rose, got dressed up for a “Saturday social” at Amy and husband Jim Steele’s Utah ranch.
The red-carpet soiree, which “all the Park City OGs” (as one guest put it) also attended, culminated with explosive confrontations between Lisa and both Angie and Bronwyn, on the heels of rumors related to her alleged legal issues.

Since viewers didn’t hear much from the party host herself amid those blowups, here’s everything to know about “Utah socialite” Amy.
What does socialite Amy Steele do for a living?
Amy is the owner and founder of The Steele Vault, a luxury medical spa in Utah where she also serves as a master esthetician.Â
She began her career in the tech industry and previously worked for Intel, IBM, Salesforce, Cisco, and Deloitte, according to her company’s website, which also notes that she holds a patent with Intel.
However, Amy’s “true passion has always been skincare,” and so she made a career pivot after earning her Master Esthetician degree from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology. The Steele Vault celebrated its five-year anniversary in September 2025.
Outside of her medspa, Amy also runs The Camelot Kingdom, a boutique animal sanctuary that specializes in breeding dogs, sheep, and alpacas.

Inside Amy Steele’s husband and family life
Amy lives on a ranch near Park City, Utah, with her husband, Jim Steele, and their children, James, 16, and Sienna. (Jim also has a 36-year-old daughter named Hayley who lives in San Francisco).
Jim is a business executive who currently serves as President, Global Strategic Customers, Alliances & Channels at Salesforce, according to his LinkedIn profile. He began his career at IBM where he spent over 22 years in executive leadership and senior sales roles and, for a time, was based in Tokyo, Japan.
Amy launched her Instagram account in March 2025, captioning her first post, “Finally joining the social media world to keep up with friends and family! Going to be showing a little bit of daily life here at the Steele residence and wherever else life takes us! Life is always an adventure!”
Since then, Amy only shared a handful of posts to her grid, all in the month of March, including photos from her and Jim’s joint birthday party at their home, as seen on RHOSLC Season 6. She wrote that she had “such a fabulous time celebrating with friends” under one post, while spotlighting some of her “favorite people,” in another.
