Kristen Doute is loving motherhood. It’s been three months since The Valley cast member and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, welcomed their daughter, Kaia Lilly, into the world, and they could not be happier. And you can bet they are sharing many, many photos of their life with her by their side.
The James Mae designer took to her Instagram Story earlier in the week, where she gave a new look at life as a mom to a 3-month-old. In one photo, Kristen rocked a bare face as she held her adorable sleeping baby in her arms, who looked so peaceful being so close to her. “Earth angel,” Kristen wrote in the corner of the photo.
But when she’s awake, she’s just as cute. Kristen then took to her Instagram Story, where she posted a photo of Kaia, lying down in her bassinet, awake and making a face at her mom. The little girl looked so sweet as she smiled at Kristen while the tot was wrapped in her muslin blanket.
“Daily dose of Kaia cuteness,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Luke also made an appearance on Kristen’s Instagram Story when she revealed that he was bonding with Kaia, while they watched a football game on the evening of Sept. 21. Luke could not have looked any happier as he held his daughter, hands free, in the middle of their living room while she was in a carrier. “Has seriously made such a huge difference!” she noted.

Kaia also got in on the football fun by wearing a pink Detroit Lions onesie and rooting on the Lions when they played on Sept. 22. Although she was born in California, it only makes sense for Kaia to cheer on the team hailing from Kristen’s home state of Michigan. “Of course, we had to get her a cute Lions onesie,” Kristen noted.
Kristen Doute opens up about how Kaia changed her outlook on life
Kaia has made some major changes to Kristen’s life. During an Aug. 30 episode of her podcast, Kristen admitted that she no longer talks negatively about herself because of Kaia, even though she used to “quietly” body shame herself after giving birth.
“Now granted, Kaia is not even like three months old,” she said. “She doesn’t understand half the words I say, just the sounds. But I have to get that in my head, especially having a little girl, is that if I’m constantly talking down to myself when Luke says, ‘You’re doing a great job,’ or he always goes, ‘You’re superwoman,’ or, ‘You look good today even though you don’t think so.’ And then I’m going, ‘No, I didn’t do enough. No, I don’t feel good about myself.”

“If my daughter starts hearing me say that, eventually, how is she going to think about her own self? Isn’t she going to judge her own self that way?” she added.
