Aesha Scott feels “so lucky” to have her fiancé, Scott “Scotty” Dobson, in her life. The Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew is so in love with her longtime partner, and has expressed her gratitude for him at so many moments.
The New Zealand native took to Instagram on July 28, where she posted a series of photos of her and Scott from their engagement shoot, taken during a trip to Palm Springs, California. In the pictures, the couple can be seen wearing preppy attire, smiling and laughing with one another.
“Heart melting all over again looking at these engagement shoot pics!!!!!!!!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “How did I get this lucky. What a wonderful life!!! P.S. We were dressing in theme so that is not Scott’s usual attire.”
But the Drop founder will use any occasion to profess her love for Scott. In January, Aesha took to Instagram where she posted a photo of her on Scott’s back, while shooting photos for Drop. “On cloud nine with my love,” she captioned the adorable photo.

Who is Scott Dobson?
Scott Dobson is Aesha’s fiancé and, according to his Instagram account, is also a speed flyer (which is an extreme sport involving a parachute). He also loves traveling just as much as Aesha does and really loves her sense of humor.

How did Aesha Scott meet Scott Dobson?
Aesha first met Scott in high school before they reunited later in life.
“We actually went to high school together,” Aesha explained during Below Deck Down Under Season 1, Episode 2. “Scott was this super athletic hottie. Then fast-forward 10 years, he saw that I was spending a lot of time in the states, and so he reached out. And it was just, like, fireworks. He’s just such a good man.”

Aesha first started dating Scott in 2020, with her debuting their relationship on Instagram in July 2020.
“It’s been so exciting lately because we have been together two years now, and this is the first time that he’s come back to New Zealand when I’ve come back,” Aesha told Bravo Insider in March 2022.
When did Scott Dobson propose to Aesha Scott?
Scott proposed to Aesha in May 2024 after four years of dating. The chief stew took to Instagram on May 9, 2024, where she posted photos of her surprise engagement on the beach at sunset.
“Of course it was a yes,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world.”
“I keep looking down at my finger and just squealing inside,” she continued. “I’m one of those hopeless romantics who would watch rom coms as a little girl and dream of how I might get proposed to one day. Where it would happen, how it would happen…And last week all of those dreams came true in the most perfect moment when I got my very own proposal.”
In a preview for Below Deck Med Season 10, Episode 1, Aesha showed off her beautiful engagement ring. “Yes, I’m engaged,” Aesha said in a confessional. “I am so grateful that I have Scott, because there are not many men that can handle me.”

Aesha and Scott bought their first house together in New Zealand in March 2024. Aesha took to Instagram at the time, where she opened up about the house that they “adore.”
“We both felt at home the moment we walked in the door!!!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “Low-key, open, light, wooden floors, big deck, very happy. Feeling chuffed all of our hard work and savings have given us a place to go home.”
Aesha has shared so many photos from the inside of her home. She took to her Instagram Story a month later, where she showed off her sunken in living room, her sleek kitchen, and her outdoor shower, which is fitting for the couple’s outdoor activities.

Their bedroom is filled with neutral tones, which is great for relaxing after a busy charter season. And their living room is perfect for entertaining.
In the trailer for Below Deck Med Season 10, Aesha admitted that she returned as chief stew for money to support their house. “Most tip seasons, I don’t care about how much tip money we’re getting, but this season, I need to earn the bloody money, OK?” she said during a confessional in the trailer. “We’ve got a mortgage. I need paint brushes. I need paint. Do you know how expensive paint is?”

Aesha and her fiancé are planning on throwing one epic party.
She spoke with People in April, where she opened up about all of the non-traditional things that she plans on doing at her wedding. “We’re going down a not-so-traditional route, and we are doing all Thai food because I’m obsessed with Thai,” she said. “If I’m feeling a little tipsy after the afternoon drinks, I want to sit down, I want to slurp up on a curry. I just want to sit there in spice heaven, so we’re going to do Thai food.”
They already have the music picked out as well. “We’re doing a saxophone-playing DJ because I love the saxophone,” she told the publication. “Get the sax out and put the bangers on!”
