Danielle Cabral is opening up about Nate Cabral’s battle with brain cysts. The Real Housewives of New Jersey entrepreneur and her husband have been married for 13 years, and she has been by his side through it all — from his first surgery to his upcoming second surgery.
Danielle — who shares 10-year-old son, Dominic, and 8-year-old daughter, Valentina Cabral, with Nate — took to Instagram on Sept. 29, where she opened up about Nate’s upcoming surgery. “Here we go again. Brain surgery number two,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
“In 2017, days before Vee was born, Nate had emergency brain surgery to remove a colloid cyst from his third ventricle,” she revealed. “He was very sick. His symptoms recently started coming back, and after taking a scan a few weeks ago, we learned his cyst had grown. In one week, he will be heading back into NYU for his second brain surgery. This time around (thankfully), he will be able to walk into the hospital positive and ahead of the game.”
She then took to her Instagram Story, where she posted a photo of her and Nate, sitting in the car. “Round 2. Gonna be another piece of (brain) cake,” she wrote over the selfie.
How Danielle and Nate Cabral are being supported in his health journey
Several Bravolebrities and Danielle’s friends took to the comments of the Instagram post, where they shared their support and well wishes for Nate. “Sending love! You got this!!” Melissa Gorga wrote.
“Nate you got this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praying for you guys,” Rachel Fuda added.
“Sending prayers and full speedy recovery for [Nate],” Margaret Josephs noted.

“You’re in good hands and we will be praying for u guys please let us know if we can help in any way,” Dolores Catania stated.
Nate also took to the comments of the post where he thanked everyone for their kind words. “THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT!!!” he wrote. “Humbling to read all your comments & prayers.”
Danielle also thanked her Instagram followers for their kind words and support during this time. “Just want to say THANK YOU for all the positive messages & to all of our friends who reached out,” she wrote, along with three white heart emojis.
Danielle Cabral opens up about Nate Cabral’s first brain surgery
Danielle took to Instagram in June 2023, where she posted a video highlighting all of the amazing things that they did as a family that year, in tribute to Nate celebrating another year of life after a successful brain surgery. She then took to the caption of the post, where she recalled what happened when Nate went for his first brain surgery.
“Six years ago, days before giving birth to our daughter, doctors found a cyst in my husband’s left ventricle of his brain, causing hydrocephalus,” she wrote. “Nate was extremely sick for weeks. He would have random seizures, lose motor functions, and experience extreme dizziness. He went to a few doctors, including the emergency room, and NOT ONE doctor ordered a scan of his head. They said he was perfectly healthy and chalked it up to his diet. One day, my husband experienced an extreme episode, literally in the parking lot of the doctor’s office. I DEMANDED a scan. He said, and I quote, ‘I mean, I’ll order one, but he’s healthy.'”

It was Danielle’s advocacy that led to doctors operating on his brain the first time. “Nathan didn’t even drive out of the parking lot before we got a call saying you need emergency BRAIN SURGERY like TOMORROW!” she continued. “At any moment, my husband could have had a brain aneurysm.”
“The next day, we were both wheeled into NYU (me because I was ready to give birth, Nathan because his legs gave out). My husband had brain surgery to remove the cyst. It was successful,” she concluded. “He came out of surgery glowing. I asked the nurse if it was normal to look soooooo beautiful after surgery. Only him!”
