Indiana Man Shoots Girlfriend in the Head While Toddler Daughter Watches – Crime Online

A Indiana man has been charged with shooting his girlfriend in the head — in front of her toddler daughter — and then claiming to police that she shot herself in a struggle over his illegally owned gun, which he was using to pistol whip her.

Tyairz Glover, 20, was charged with 19-year-old LaNya Anderson’s murder after witnesses — including his own mother — told a different story, WXIN reported.

Glover’s mother showed police a text from another son, who wrote, “He shot her (in) the head.”

Anderson was rushed to a hospital, where she died.

Police say the couple was having some kind of domestic argument when Glover murdered Anderson. Dionna Sweeney, Anderson’s mother, told the Indianapolis Star that her daughter called her early that morning, and she could hear the argument in the background. Twenty minutes later, Glover called and said she’d shot herself and was dead.

According to the affidavit for his arrest, Glover said they pair were fighting over his gun, and Anderson shot herself. He claimed she hit him with the gun “but not hard,” so he threw her on the bed, punched her in the face, and pistol whipped her. Somewhere in the violence, she pulled the trigger.

The affidavit says that Glover’s mother said that her son had repeatedly threatened violence against other people, including telling her he would kill her.

According to jail records, Glover is charged with murder and felon in possession of a gun. He’s being held without bond. He is due in court on Friday.
