Kandi Burruss is making her big return to Broadway in a role in a hit show. And her husband, Todd Tucker, could not be prouder of her. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum will join the cast of Broadway’s & Juliet in the role of Angélique. Kandi’s run will begin on Dec. 11 and conclude on March 8, 2026.
Variety reported the exciting news on Oct. 9, and Todd took to Instagram the same day, where he posted such a sweet and encouraging message for his wife. “She can’t be stopped!” he wrote in the caption of the post. “And another one!”
“Keep shining and keep inspiring!” he concluded.
Kandi also took to her own Instagram account on Thursday, where she expressed her happiness to be returning to the Big Apple. “I’ve been wanting to go back to the Broadway stage for a while now [and] I’m so excited to join the cast of [& Juliet],” she wrote. “This is gonna be so fun. Y’all gotta come see me in NYC!”
Kandi Burruss reveals the next Broadway show she’s producing in her career
In addition to appearing on Broadway, Kandi is now a part of the production behind a Broadway revival. Deadline announced on Oct. 6 that Kandi is now producing an upcoming revival of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, starring Taraji P. Henson and Cedric The Entertainer. It’s slated to run in spring 2026.

Kandi took to Instagram that very same day, where she shared the good news. “I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be a part of the production team for August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” she wrote. “Can’t wait to see [Taraji P. Henson] on stage with [Cedric the Entertainer] under the direction of [Debbie Allen]. Wow, just wow! Much love to my producing partner [Brian Moreland], cheers to another one!”
Details on Kandi Burruss’ history with Broadway
Kandi made her Broadway debut in the role of Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago in January 2018. Kandi produced the Broadway play, Thoughts of a Colored Man, in 2022, and followed that up with producing the revival of The Piano Lesson in 2022. The next year, in 2023, she signed up to produce the revival of The Wiz on Broadway.

Most recently, Kandi and Todd were on the production team behind Broadway’s Othello, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, in 2024. The play broke the record for the highest weekly gross of a Broadway play and earned $2.8 million in its second week of previews.
In 2022, Kandi shared with The Daily Dish, how her work on Beadoway fits in with her overall career plan. “My overall dream is that I get the EGOT,” she said at the time. “Meaning I got a Grammy. I need an Emmy, I need an Oscar, I need a Tony. And so it’s like [I need to] analyze the Emmy, Oscar, Tony, and figure out what are all the things I can do to qualify me to be recognized for something like that? So I’m working towards those goals.”
