A Florida man who was arrested on Saturday allegedly tried to enter jail with a large thermos stashed in his rectum.
Polk County police responded to a call about a naked man in a bathroom at a public park, only to find Walter Frymire, 51, fully clothed. Frymire, who was trespassed at the park and released, was later arrested after he walked across the street and climbed onto railroad tracks, according to WESH.
Arresting deputies reportedly found Frymire in possession of methamphetamine. Polk County police sheriff Grady Judd said the jail’s body scanner revealed Frymire had also concealed a large thermos in his rectum.
“That’s right, he put it in the exit ramp,” he commented.
The discovery led to Frymire’s hospitalization. There, doctors had a specialist remove the thermos, according to WSVN.
“The deputy saved his life. And that was after Walter threatened to kill the deputy for arresting him,” Judd commented.
Reports indicated that Frymire has 25 prior arrests and has been to prison five times. It is unclear whether he will face additional charges for the thermos incident.
