Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins — who was convicted of child sex crimes — was reportedly killed on Saturday in a prison attack in the United Kingdom.
The Sun reported that Watkins’ throat was slashed while HMP Wakefield prisoners were let out for the morning. Years before his death, in 2023, Watkins suffered neck injuries when he was attacked by three other prisoners.
Watkins, who has been jailed since 2013, was serving 29 years for sexually touching a 1-year-old, producing child pornography, and encouraging a fan to sexually abuse a child.
Watkins was pronounced dead at the scene. Emerging reports indicated that two men have been apprehended in connection with his death.
