For Nia Sanchez Booko, the past 10 years have been quite the rollercoaster ride. But she’s grateful to have had Danny Booko by her side.
On Friday, October 10, The Valley cast member took another trip down memory lane to celebrate her and Danny’s 10th anniversary. The former Miss USA shared a handful of photos from her wedding in Southern California wine country, where she and Danny exchanged “I do’s” in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony.
“Happy 10 Year Wedding Anniversary to the one whom my soul loves,” Nia captioned the carousel. “[Daniel] you are the best husband and an incredible daddy. I love the life we’ve worked so hard to build together. You bring joy and laughter into my life and our kids lives everyday. I truly don’t know what we’d do without you. Thank you for choosing me.”

A day after the throwback post, Nia returned to Instagram with another anniversary tribute. But this time, she shed more light on her marriage today. The Reel was both sweet and playful, as it showed The Valley parents with their baby girl before making day-to-night outfit changes.

“This man has seen me through so much and has truly been the man I need,” she wrote. “He’s stuck with me through winning crowns, travels, loss, infertility, postpartum depression and raising small children. It’s been wild, fun, hard, exciting and so much more. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else.”
Danny returned the heartfelt words in the comments section, saying he was so grateful to be Nia’s husband.
“Love you more than anything my love!” he declared. “Thank you for choosing me!”

The Reel also provided a close-up of Nia’s stunning wedding ring, designed by Peter Pheng Young of INTA Gems & Diamonds. According to a press release, the ring featured a white, 2-carat cushion-cut diamond set on a platinum band.
Danny proposed with that ring in 2014, shortly after Nia won the Miss USA title. The dad recalled his “intimate” proposal on The Valley After Show, explaining how much work went into the big moment.

“She likes to be surprised,” he began. “She was Miss USA at the time, living in New York. I had a friend who had a connect at the NoMad Hotel and ended up getting me this two-story suite with this big outdoor terrace.”
Danny, who was living in Los Angeles at the time, had secretly flown to New York City on the same weekend that Nia’s LA friends were visiting her. Shortly after landing in the Big Apple, Danny and his sister decorated the aforementioned hotel suite while Nia’s friends kept her preoccupied.
“The girls were, obviously, all in on it,” he said.

Danny also recalled Nia’s two requirements for the proposal: “Nia said, ‘Make sure I look nice and that my nails are done.”
“So, [her friends] had made up this event that they were going to that night,” Danny continued. “She got her nails done. She was looking all beautiful, as she always does. And [the friends] said, ‘Hey, we gotta stop by this little pre-party first.’”
The group then headed to the NoMad Hotel suite, which was decorated with candles and photos of Nia and Danny.
“It was a big, big, big thing, you know?” he recalled. “I brought her over, had an intimate moment of just talking, and telling her how much I love and adore and care about her, and got on a knee, and asked her to marry me.”
Nia and Danny now share four children: a 3-year-old son, Asher; 2-year-old twin daughters, Zariah and Isabelle; and a 4-month-old daughter, Adelaide. Learn more about the Bookos’ family life and their new Santa Clarita home.
