The original cast member and Utah-based faith leader was recently in New York City, where she owns one of five homes, ensuring a stop at Bravo HQ. Inquiring minds wondered what plans Mary might have had for her iconic 20,000-square-foot home in Salt Lake City, and Mary said she was “figuring it out.”

“That house is so big. Right now, I feel like I’m trying to renovate the entire house, so I feel like I’m in a stagnant process, and it just feels like it’s taking forever,” Mary admitted. “Right now, I’m in the basement, trying to get the basement readjusted and cleaned out.”

She explained that she had the furniture from her NYC home moved to her primary residence in SLC, which left her basement full. Specifically, “It’s a house full of furniture.”

Those tuning into the series know Mary’s five-bedroom home is well known for its colorful and unique style, filled with designer-label items and lots of personality. When opening the doors of her old-stone home’s grand entryway to BravoTV.com for a tour in 2023, she said the mansion had “seven to nine baths.”

At the time, workers nearby were in the process of removing the now-famous green carpet of her living room.

An open Tiffany blue kitchen had large glass jars of candies and sweets, as did the matching dining area, equipped with rainbow-patterned, tufted chairs and a ton of Chanel house pillows.

The eating area was where the family loaded their trays to take meals back to their rooms, the “old-school” way, Mary said. A separate, formal dining room comprised tall, ornamental gold chairs that she had shipped all the way from NYC.

During the house tour, Mary shared the interesting reason they had such a majestic view of the mountains, too.

“We had a[n] earthquake, about maybe five years ago, and I’m not kidding, our house shifted down to Salt Lake Valley, so now this is the view,” she said. “So that was the one thing [to come out] of it. Very scary, but it gave us a better view.”

There, Mary has lived for nearly a quarter of a century.

Where else does Mary Cosby have homes?

Aside from the Big Apple and SLC, Mary has homes in Las Vegas, Nevada; Orlando, Florida; and Carmel, Indiana.

As Mary revealed on Season 1 of RHOSLC, ”When my grandmother left, she left me her empire: homes, churches, daycares, a mortgage company, restaurants … including her husband. So Robert Cosby Sr. does love checking on all of the homes that we own.”

What’s more, Mary leaves the residences empty when they’re not there.

“We don’t rent our houses or anything. When we’re not there, they are empty,” she continued. “We don’t share.”
