The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City friend packed her bags and left for the East Coast this week to begin work on a major career opportunity. Britani teased the move during a recent appearance on the Good Things Utah morning show, saying she was temporarily moving to New York City for the “exciting” milestone.

“I can’t talk about it much now,” she said. “It’s cryptic.”

Britani Bateman to headline her first cabaret show: “I can’t wait”

Fast-forward to Tuesday, October 14, when the Salt Lake City mom confirmed she had secured her first-ever headlining cabaret show, aptly titled, What About Me: An Evening with Britani Bateman.

“This cabaret feels like opening a new chapter,” she told People magazine about the event. “People know me from Housewives, but this show lets me step out of that world for a night and just be Britani — no snow, no drama, just fun.

“It’s a little scary, but mostly exciting to finally show people a side of me they’ve only gotten glimpses of before,” she continued. “I’m pouring so much of myself into this show, and I can’t wait for everyone to feel that energy right along with me.”

When is Britani Bateman’s NYC concert?

The one-night concert will take place on December 5 at 54 Below, the popular cabaret hotspot situated beneath the original Studio 54 nightclub. The event will be produced by Christophe Desorbay with musical direction by Steven Jamail, an award-winning composer who has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Lea Michele, Rosie O’Donnell, Olympian Adam Rippon, and Tony winner Andy Karl.

According to the venue’s website, Britani’s cabaret will feature special guest appearances, surprise announcements, and, of course, live singing.

Britani Bateman’s Background in Musical Theater

Although this is Britani’s first time headlining a cabaret, the Utah native is no stranger to the stage. While earning her musical theater degree at Brigham Young University, Britani starred in multiple school productions, including the Anything Goes and Evita musicals. She went on to work for Disney World as an Ariel and Belle character actor before landing a role in the Miss Saigon national Broadway tour.

Britani Bateman on how she balances her career and family life

After landing on-screen acting roles, Britani decided to return to Utah to begin a career in real estate and officially joined the Presidio brokerage in early 2025. She opened up about her career journey in a January profile for VoyageUtah, explaining how she managed to juggle all her projects while being a mother.

“Earlier, my biggest challenge was building a career and being the best mom I could be,” she recalled. “I was able to find this balance by switching to movies and TV, instead of theater, and then to real estate and development. Being a mother and raising my kids was the most important thing in my life, so to do a great job with my kids was paramount to all of our happiness.

“I wanted to be on every field trip, volunteer in the classrooms, drive them around to dance classes, etc,” she continued. “I also needed that professional outlet to stay sane. There was lots of lost sleep and caffeine involved, but looking back it was so worth it!”
