Congratulations are in order for Katie Ginella and Matt Ginella, who celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 15. The Real Housewives of Orange County couple are still so in love, and their sweet tributes to one another prove it.

Both Katie and Matt took to their Instagram accounts on Thursday, where they wrote odes to one another. Matt took to his account, where he posted a series of photos of Katie taken over the past year. He then posted a message to Katie and their relationship, paying tribute to how they met while both working as golf reporters.
“Quite a front-9 marriage with ‘My Spicy Asian,'” he wrote in the caption of the post. “Stunning outside, but for those who get to know her, she’s even more beautiful on the inside. My best friend, wife, and mother to our amazing kids, we love, live, and laugh. Happy Anniversary, Katie G. On to the back nine and many more.”
Katie also took to Instagram, where she penned a more simple tribute to her husband. She posted a photo of her and Matt today, a photo of them on their wedding, and a picture of their wedding vows. “Happy 9th Anniversary MG. I love you more. The end,” she wrote.
Matt also took to the comments of the post, where he had the sweetest things to say about his wife. “You were stunning then and even more so now,” he wrote. “I love our life together. You’re an amazing friend, wife, mom, and lover. And thankfully, we never stop laughing.”
Katie Ginella shares an update on Matt Ginella’s health
Both Katie and Matt have been through a lot in their relationship this year. Katie took to her Instagram Story on Sept. 17, where she revealed that Matt had been in the hospital due to blood clots.
“[Four] days ago, Matt told me he was having a lot of pain in his side. He went to urgent care and was immediately sent to the hospital,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “They discovered blood clots in his lung and legs. So much pain, tests, and long nights in the hospital. It’s been scary, but we’re beyond grateful for the incredible care at [Hoag]. He’s home now and on the way to recovery.”

Matt then took to his own Instagram Story on Sept. 19, where he revealed that he was “on the mend” from his clots. He also shared that he would be making changes to his lifestyle, which includes wearing compression socks and drinking more water while on flights.
“I’m always reminding him to drink water,” Katie said. “And I sit in the middle or the aisle, so I can get up and use the restroom, and he just puts his hoodie up and goes to bed.”
Katie Ginella shares “great” news about marriage to Matt Ginella
Katie spoke with The Daily Dish in August, before Matt’s hospitalization, where she shared a major update on her marriage to Matt today. “Still married to the same person,” she said with a laugh. “We’re great.”

“Matt’s really busy with work,” she continued. “He’s been traveling pretty much for the last eight weeks of work. So he’s pretty busy.”
