The Real Housewives of Potomac mom addressed a potential move roughly seven months after finalizing her divorce from Michael Darby. Ashley said her current four-bedroom, five-bathroom house has everything she ever wanted in a home, but she’s now considering a change of scenery.

“To be honest, the house that I have now really does check all the boxes,” she told The Daily Dish. “I have great neighbors. They’re my little neighborhood watch. They all know I’m a single mom, so they’re always looking at my house… They’re always checking out for me, which I’ve always wanted to have. And then in terms of the home itself, it has everything I could ever want or need, you know? Open concept. Ample bedrooms for my children. And I got my glam space. So, it really has everything I could want.”

Ashley Darby isn’t sure if she’s found her forever home

Ashley said the home also has sentimental value, as it was the first property she ever bought for herself. The mother of two moved into the Arlington house in October 2022, just six months after announcing her split from Michael. She said the purchase felt like a major “accomplishment” that she has never taken for granted.

“I feel so blessed to have it… But over these last couple of weeks, I’ve really been thinking, like, is there a place that’s more suited for me?” she pondered. “It’s the first time I’ve ever lived by myself. So I’m 37, and I bought my house at 34. The first time I’d ever lived alone. I always had a roommate, or my family, or Michael. So that was a big thing.”

She continued: “And I have my kids, obviously, my little roommates. So it’s all just really started to settle in that, yes, this was my first house, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be my permanent house.”

Ashley Darby knows a second marriage will affect her living situation

Ashley lives in the home with her 6-year-old son, Dean, and 4-year-old son, Dylan, whom she shares with Michael. Since splitting with her ex-husband, Ashley has re-entered the dating scene with the intention of walking down the aisle again. She said a potential second marriage is something else she has to consider before making a home move.

“What’s that gonna look like? When I merge lives with somebody… when I get married again,” she said. “You know, am I gonna build a new house with someone? Are they gonna move in with me? I don’t know… It’s been on my mind heavily lately.”

Ashley Darby may buy a home outside the Potomac area

Although she’s pretty content in her current home, Ashley revealed she would like to live closer to the water and would potentially get a vacation house.

“I’ve been spending a bit of time in Florida lately,” she said, “so, I’m like maybe this is where I want to be, you know?”
