A North Carolina man has been accused of causing injuries that eventually killed a 5-year-old North Carolina boy.

Goldsboro Police said they were called to the UNC Health Wayne on October 16 after the boy was brought there and staff suspected child abuse, WRAL said. The boy was transferred to ECU Health in Greenville and later died from his injuries.

After investigating, police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Kenneth Ray Robinson Jr, 30, on October 24 and booked him into the Wayne County Jail.

He’s being held without bond and will likely be facing murder charges.
