The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Shannon Storms Beador is weighing in on the whirlwind Season 19 finale and the social media accusations against Gretchen Rossi.
As she and her cast mates discussed Gretchen’s reaction to the accusations made on the Oct. 30 episode (more on those below), Shannon told Heather Dubrow on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show that Gretchen’s perceived lack of reaction was likely just a matter of individuality. Referring to Emily Simpson as an example, Shannon explained, “Emily said, ‘You just sat there. You didn’t do anything.’ Because Emily is the type of person that comes in hard right away. Like, ‘I’m going to react.’ And other people react certain ways.”
Another example? Shannon’s ex-husband, David Beador, “laughs” during confrontations. “And some people are deers in the headlight, and some people go and they’re very vocal about what’s going on,” Shannon continued. “So, I don’t want to judge her based on her reaction.”
Later, when discussing what Gretchen had been accused of, Shannon added, “I just can’t imagine Gretchen doing something like that. I’ve seen a kind, devoted mom, a faith-based gal, and a girl who has a lot of friends in the LGBTQ community.”

Heather Dubrow and more of the RHOC cast weigh in on Gretchen Rossi’s social media controversy
Heather, for her part, wondered why Gretchen wasn’t outraged after Gina Kirschenheiter confronted her at their final dinner in Amsterdam about allegedly liking social media posts that were “very disparaging towards the LGBTQ+ community.” As she put it on the RHOC After Show, “If someone was accusing me of something like that, you just want to go, ‘How can I prove that this is ridiculous, that this is so not true?’”
Emily, to Tamra Judge and Gina, also said she expected Gretchen’s reaction to be “completely different,” contending, “If it was me, I would have been livid.”
“I thought that her reaction would have been, ‘F–k you, Tamra; This is you creating bulls–t about me,’ and that’s what I thought the reaction might be,” she continued. “And then I was going to sit and analyze that, but there was no reaction from her.”
“Which made it worse,” Tamra chimed in.

Gretchen Rossi defends her reaction to the social media controversy
Gretchen denied liking the alleged social media posts both on RHOC Season 19, Episode 17 and on the RHOC After Show. She also defended her perceived lack of a reaction, stating, “I was so confused because, in my heart, I’m like, ‘There’s no way I would’ve liked a post like that.'”
“What am I supposed to say to this? I know fundamentally in my heart what I feel and how I believe,” Gretchen continued. “But it’s like, how are you supposed to defend that in that moment?”
“I was legitimately in shock and confused,” she added. “And then it just got weirder and weirder and weirder.”
