As two of the youngest cast members of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6, Whitney Rose and Bronwyn Newport share a lot in common—including older husbands. Whitney opened up about how that fact bonds her to Bronwyn during an exclusive interview at Bravo HQ.
“I love that I have Bronwyn to relate,” Whitney shared. “To have Bronwyn to talk to is really cool, because not everyone understands what that dynamic is like.”
While Justin Rose and Whitney’s age difference is 18 years apart, Todd Bradley is a quarter century older than Bronwyn. “She has a much bigger age difference than I do,” Whitney commented. “She deals with a whole other level of interesting-ness.”
As for her own marriage, Whitney also opened up about her relationship with Justin in the video above. “I feel like he raised me in a way. It’s like I spent my entire life married,” Whitney added. “I wouldn’t change it. Like, I don’t know if I could be married to someone younger than me.”
Whitney Rose opens up to Bronwyn Newport about having an age gap in her marriage
Whitney has been open about her marriage to Justin over the seasons, and cameras captured the couple renewing their vows after a decade of marriage during the RHOSLC series premiere. She described then how some looked down upon her marriage to a man 18 years her senior.
“When I married Justin, I was five months pregnant, and I was wearing my high school prom dress, standing in front of about 50 people who didn’t want us to be together,” she shared during Season 1, Episode 1. “We had this hot office romance that we were trying to hide from everyone, because we were both married to other people.”
She also detailed what it was like to marry at a young age during a Nov. 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, and said she at first tried to be a perfect “1950s housewife.”

“It’s wild, ’cause I was so young when we got engaged. I was 22. I was a baby,” Whitney said. “But when I met Justin it wasn’t just meeting a man… It was an instant like soul connection, where I knew that this person was gonna be in my life. I just didn’t know how.”
Whitney revealed more to Bronwyn about how her sex life has been impacted by the age difference with her husband during RHOSLC Season 6, Episode 9, detailing that the couple has an “agreement.”
“Obviously, with our age difference, like, we’ve talked about it a lot…if there’s something that I wanna do, then I would bring it to Justin, and we’d talk about it,” Whitney explained. “The minute you break trust with the agreement, it’s over. So you can’t do anything behind each other’s backs. You have to follow the rules. And he was doing the same. But the best thing I ever did was speak what I need and want.”
Bronwyn Newport explains why she wants her marriage to Todd Bradley to “evolve”
Bronwyn faced another new cheating rumor about Todd during the Nov. 11 episode, this one concerning Todd looking at pictures of other women while on a plane. She shared with Whitney that it’s making her reconsider changes to her marriage. Bronwyn also admitted she felt comfortable with Whitney because of their similar ages and marital situations.
“I think you and I are the same age. I think you and I are the most ‘out’ of Mormonism, of everybody in this group,” Bronwyn said. “If Todd said to me, ‘I’d like to sleep with other people, or I’d like us to do it together, I’d at least try it.”

Although Whitney remained skeptical, Bronwyn explained, “I don’t want to be done with Todd. I want to evolve with Todd. And I need him to evolve with me.”
The two ‘Wives found more common ground when Bronwyn mentioned coming up with an “agreement” with Todd. Whitney admitted, “I understand fully. I went through the same thing with Justin.”
Whitney later added, “You have to live your life, and they’re older than us. It’s a natural thing that’s going to happen. So agreements need to be had.” Bronwyn chimed in, “And we need to be evolving in the same place. The same direction at least.”
