Andy Cohen asked the question on many viewer’s minds in an unseen moment from The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion: How did Scheana Shay “factor into” the drama involving Tamra Judge, Gretchen Rossi, and Katie Ginella?
The subject arose on Peacock’s extended and uncensored version of RHOC Season 19’s Reunion Part 2 as the group relitigated the allegations that came to light in New Orleans. The crux of the issue was that the ladies had vastly different accounts involving Katie supposedly repeating an off-camera accusation that Gretchen allegedly made about Tamra from roughly 15 years ago to Radio Andy podcaster Kiki Monique.
During the reunion, Tamra questioned why Kiki didn’t go “straight to Scheana, who’s good friends with Gretchen,” to verify what Katie had allegedly told her. (For reference, Kiki is Scheana’s “go-to co-host” on Scheananigans with Scheana Shay, per the podcast’s description.)
“How did Scheana Shay figure into this?” Andy asked.

Tamra began referencing “this whole thread” on social media, but Katie jumped in after the former admitted that she hadn’t actually seen the post because she was “blocked.”
“This woman has a timeline of all this stuff,” Katie said, referencing a post that someone sent to her and husband Matt Ginella. “It shows pictures of Gretchen and Scheana being friends for many, many years.”

From there, Katie explained that she had appeared on Tamra and Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, in September 2025 when the latter brought up a “rumor” about Scheana’s alleged involvement in the situation.
“Who knows if this is true, but I was told that Gretchen and Scheana are very tight,” Teddi elaborated in a podcast clip that played during the RHOC reunion, adding that the rumor was about how “Scheana told Kiki” what Gretchen had allegedly claimed about Tamra.
Katie, for her part, added on Two Ts in a Pod, “I’ve heard that from multiple people, too. There’s clips of Scheana calling Gretchen with Kiki on their podcast together saying, ‘How do we get you back on the show?'”

Back on the reunion set, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen attempted to clarify if they were accusing Scheana of “somehow plotting to get Gretchen back on the show.”
“This is the rumor I heard,” Katie replied. “I just confirmed that I heard this rumor.”
Andy’s response? “Well, can I just point out that the reason Gretchen is on the show is that she was on [The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip], and we were all like, ‘Wow, it’s great to see Gretchen again. It would be fun if she was back on the show. I wonder if she would do it.’? That’s how it happened. It had nothing to do with Scheana.”
How Scheana Shay responded to the RHOC podcast rumors
Shortly after Katie’s Two Ts in a Pod episode aired in September, Scheana responded to the accusations in an interview with Page Six, accusing her and Teddi of “spreading lies” about her.
“The truth is with Gretchen. Gretchen never said this to Katie,” the Vanderpump Rules alum claimed. “So now for Katie to go on Two Ts in a Pod and go, ‘Well, I heard Scheana heard this from Gretchen and told KiKi,’ I’m like, I’ve never … never heard any of this at all.”
Scheana continued, “I’ve been friends with [Gretchen] for over 15 years. I think I would’ve heard this story by now, and now they’re just spreading lies about me. And I have an issue with that. … One thing I know about Gretchen is she doesn’t lie.”
