Although he’s back in the dating scene, Mauricio Umansky is still very much single. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dad confirmed his relationship status earlier this month, as he continued to navigate his marital split from Kyle Richards.
“How long have I been separated? Two years, two and a half years, plus or minus,” he said in an interview with People magazine. “I was not counting — but I’m still in the era of being single.”
“I’m alone,” he emphasized. “I’m single. I’m dating. I guess that’s my era.”
Mauricio Umansky lands “edgy and sexy” modeling gig
Mauricio gave the interview while promoting his new fashion campaign for Ari SoHo, a New York-based retailer that he’s worked with for several years. The real estate mogul described the photoshoot as “edgy,” “sexy,” and in line with his “fashion-forward” aesthetic.
“I’m in my 50s, so I’m not trying to be a 20-year-old sexy man,” he said about the modeling gig. “I’ve got a high heel in my face with a leg! I’ve got two girls, one pouring me a drink and one lighting my cigar. It definitely has some lifestyle, and it has some edge.”
The campaign has since garnered a lot of attention online, with many people swooning over Mauricio’s chest- and ab-baring shots. One of the images showed Mauricio looking straight at the camera as multiple hands reached into the frame and pulled off his button-up. Another captured him holding a drink while rocking an unzipped shearling-lined coat with no shirt underneath.

While plenty of fans enjoyed the shots, some wondered what Kyle thought of her estranged husband’s “hot and sexy” shoot. Well, according to Mauricio, Kyle “loved” it. The Beverly Hills father cited a group chat in which Kyle referred to the images as “great.”
“You look amazing,” she wrote to Mauricio, adding that “the best” photo was the one of him holding a drink and a cigar.
“We’re still super good friends,” the Beverly Hills dad said about Kyle.

The ex-couple got married in January 1996 and went on to welcome three daughters together: Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky. Mauricio also helped raise Kyle’s oldest daughter, Farrah Brittany, from a previous relationship. The Mexican-born businessman said his kids also approved of the Ari SoHo campaign, revealing that Alexia had told him he looked “super handsome,” while Farrah added that he was “looking great.”

Kyle addressed her relationship with Mauricio during BravoCon 2025, saying they were each “allowed to do whatever” they wanted when it came to seeing other people.
“We live separate lives,” she explained on the Livin’ in Beverly Hills panel. “But, um, of course, I think we’ve seen Mauricio dating.”

Although the ex-couple is still quite close, Kyle made it clear that they never discuss each other’s love lives.
“It’s like, you know, we don’t really want to know. And I can just look at TMZ and find out anyway,” she joked. “It’s just a given, but we are really grateful that we really love and care about each other enough that we put our children and our family first, and we’re able to go about this separation in a very amicable, loving way.”
