Kandi Burruss has been “up and down” amid her divorce from Todd Tucker. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum announced on Nov. 21 that she and Todd would be getting a divorce after more than a decade of marriage, and now she is sharing new details about it.
The mom of three appeared on an Amazon Live stream on Nov. 24, where she admitted that her divorce had been something that she had been thinking about for some time. “To be clear, yes, I filed Friday, but this is something that has, you know, been brewing for a while,” she said.
She continued, noting that she has been “up and down” since the news of their split went public. “I’ve been going through it, child,” she noted. “Life has been life-ing me, ok?”
“But what I will say is, Todd and I were together, our marriage lasted 11 years, we were together like, 14. We’ve got two wonderful, beautiful children. I have no regrets,” she continued. “I mean, sometimes things don’t work out, and it just is what it is.”

Kandi also addressed how hard the divorce has been on her. “Obviously, going through a divorce is definitely not the easiest thing,” she admitted during the live stream.

“Sometimes, you know, you’re cool, you know what I mean? You’re moving, you’re mixing, you’re moving, you’re hanging out with friends,” she noted. “But then sometimes you have your moments of sadness, you know. And me being the Taurus that I am, I like to keep those moments to myself.”

But Kandi isn’t letting her divorce get in the way of their co-parenting relationship. She revealed that she will not let anything stop her and Todd from raising their 6-year-old daughter, Blaze, and 9-year-old son, Ace Tucker, together.

“Let me just say, no matter what Todd and I are going through, we are parents together,” she said. “We are co-parenting together. We have beautiful children together. So, we are trying to make this transition as smooth as it can possibly be for our kids.”

Kandi spoke with People on Friday, Nov. 21, where she confirmed the divorce to the publication. She further revealed that she was looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life after the split. “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth,” she said. “I’m grateful for everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
