The conversation kicked off when Mary Cosby gathered her castmates, minus Britani, at the famed Valter’s Osteria for a post-church Sunday social with the goal of finding some common ground after the off-camera drama that played out on their return flight from their Below Deck Down Under Caribbean charter. However, the women still couldn’t seem to agree on what happened aboard the plane.

By Meredith’s account, she was “upset” and “crying” and had simply been “reacting” to Britani repeating TikTok rumors about her husband Seth Marks’ alleged cheating indiscretion during a group dinner on the yacht: “I got on the plane. I vented to Lisa [Barlow] for a little bit. I put on a movie. I fell asleep. I woke up,” she claimed, after conceding that her reaction was “was not right time, not right place.”

However, her castmates painted a different image of the “very intense” situation as Heather Gay put it, during which Meredith allegedly ranted to and about Britani for hours. “There would be brief moments of peace, and then it would slowly pick up again,” Heather detailed in a confessional. “And it would kind of crescendo.”

After Whitney Rose described Meredith “taunting Britani and calling her names” throughout the flight, she further alleged to a producer, “Meredith was absolutely diabolical on the airplane.”

Meredith, meanwhile, denied that she ever spoke directly to Britani, whom she said was wearing over-ear headphones anyway. She also pushed back on the claim that the dustup lasted several hours, insisting that she had only “vented” to Lisa for “maybe 30 minutes” total, amidst her also napping and watching part of Crazy Rich Asians and another movie which she couldn’t recall the title of.

Elsewhere during Mary’s lunch, the ladies also revisited what happened after they exited the aircraft. According to Heather, they had to “corral” a “sobbing” Britani off the plane. Even Mary and Angie Katsanevas, whom Heather noted both “can’t stand Britani,” were “caressing her and helping her,” post-flight.

“I cried when I saw her,” Angie weighed in.

As a majority of the cast stayed by Britani’s side in the long customs line in Utah, Heather pointed out that Lisa kept her distance.

After offering an explanation about confusion over her Global Entry status, Lisa eventually confessed, “I needed space. I had my AirPods in and I was listening to Kendrick Lamar.”

After Mary’s lunch, Lisa revealed to Meredith that she had met up with Britani and felt they had eventually gotten to a “good space.” Though Lisa highlighted that she and Britani “were never gonna agree on what happened on the plane,” she suggested that Meredith also have a conversation with her.

So, after Meredith reached out to her, Britani agreed to meet, and their face-to-face sitdown played out at the end of RHOSLC‘s Nov. 25 episode.

“I wanted to tell you that I am sorry that you heard me talking to Lisa on the plane,” Meredith told Britani. “It was definitely the wrong place, the wrong time. And I feel terribly that I hurt your feelings. I don’t want to do that. So, I’m sorry for that.”

Meredith went on to express her hope that they could “move forward” and “at a bare minimum, treat each other with kindness and respect.”

After thanking Meredith for her apology, Britani also came clean about her motives for repeating the Seth cheating rumor. “It was a shady thing to do, to bring up the TikTok. … And I’m sorry,” Britani replied.

With that, the two agreed to take “baby steps” towards fostering more “civility” in their interactions.

“I apologized that her feelings were hurt; she apologized for intentionally hurting me with the TikTok,” Meredith concluded in a confessional. “So, I’ll take that and move on in peace.”
