The budding romance between Craig Conover and Salley Carson heated up in more ways than one on Southern Charm — and, yes, there are receipts to prove it.
While enjoying some post-surfing beverages at a beach bar during Season 11, Episode 2, Austen Kroll, Shep Rose, and newcomer Whitner Slagsvol broke down what happened between Craig and Salley after Madison’s LeCroy’s baby shower.
By Shep’s account, he, Salley, and Kory Keefer had all continued the after party at Craig’s house, where they soaked in his hot tub. After Kory disappeared, Shep said he realized it was “getting late” and went inside to call an Uber.
“I was like, ‘I’ll just leave them alone,'” he added, referencing Craig and Salley.

Though Shep thought the two “may” hook up, Austen chimed in to say that he’d seen Salley’s text exchange with Craig, and that led him to believe otherwise. As Austen recited what he could remember from the texts, a screenshot, which you can see below, appeared showing exactly what the two said.
“God, what a moron,” Shep declared of Craig, before adding in a confessional, “He’s just not that aggressive of a dater.”
As Austen put it, “I know, man. He doesn’t have, like, a killer instinct. And he never has, and he never will.”
Salley Carson explained her romantic interest in Craig Conover
While planning her singles soiree elsewhere in Southern Charm‘s Nov. 26 episode, Salley downplayed her romantic interest in Craig to new bestie Venita Aspen amid their intense falling out.
“I was in Craig’s hot tub ’til 4:00 in the morning. We were just doing shots; it was fun.” Salley revealed to Venita, before adding, “I’m not, like, going after Craig. I just think he’s really hot.”

Later, when Season 11 newcomer Charley Manley arrived at her beach bash, however, Salley was a bit more forthcoming.
“I’m gonna want to make out with a specific someone,” she admitted to Charley and Rodrigo Reyes. “I’m talking about Craig. I think I’m just gonna feel it out, see what he’s into, see what he’s doing.”
Inside Salley Carson’s love triangle with Craig Conover and Charley Manley
Salley’s plan didn’t exactly pan out how she’d hoped, however, especially after Charley instantly caught Craig’s eye at the singles party. As the pair’s interactions grew increasingly flirtatious while taking Jello shots, playing beach games, and taking a dip in the ocean, Salley’s frustrations also grew.
“This is definitely flirting, right?” Salley asked in a confessional. “Hello? Girl code. That’s kinda weird.”
When Salley eventually called out Charley for being a “flirt with Craig,” though, the latter denied that she was pursuing their fellow Southern Charm-er in any serious way.
“It was not like that at all,” Charley insisted. “I would tell you if it was, but it literally wasn’t.”
Though Salley replied by saying she wouldn’t care if they were flirting, she struck a different tone in a confessional, declaring that Charley was “full of s–t.”
“I’m not a f–king idiot,” Salley continued. “I can see when someone’s flirting, and they were, right in front of my face.”
You can expect more twists and turns ahead, too: The Season 11 announcement already teased a “jealous rivalry” between the women, while the Southern Charm trailer previewed even more of their drama.
In one scene, Salley tearfully told Charley, “You knew how I was feeling about him. And then you went on a date with him.” Elsewhere, Charley could be heard saying in a voiceover, “If I want to go out with Craig, I can go out with Craig,” before a separate clip, indeed, showed them on a date.
