Police are seeking assistance in locating a woman who vanished while aboard the Holland America cruise ship
According to the Caribbean island’s Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM), Ann Evans, 55, who failed to return home November 20.
FOX News Digital reports that Evans never returned to the Rotterdam cruise ship in Port St. Maarten, after leaving a bus during an “organized island tour.” Evans reportedly left the ship at around 11 a.m. local time.
The cruise embarked on a 12-day voyage on November 16, departing from Fort Lauderdale and going through the Caribbean.
The Police Force of Sint Maarten said in a statement that they have “carried out extensive checks and followed multiple lines of information in accordance with legal guidelines.”
Menawhile, KPSM sated that someone matching Ms. Evans’ description checked into a hotel “on the French side of the island using her passport.”
KPSM said it is working with French police to gather additional information.
“If Ms. Evans herself sees this message, she is kindly requested to contact her family, the Police Force of Sint Maarten, or the French Gendarmerie as soon as possible to confirm her safety,” KPSM said in a statement.
