A South Carolina father has been jailed after he allegedly threatened his 11-year-old son when the boy asked for food.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office said that 44-year-old Thomas Baker called 911 and asked the police remove his son from the property for being “unruly” and “not listening,” but a police report says that Baker was apparently the only unruly person there.
The boy told deputies that he had asked for something to eat and his father replied, “Get the f*** out of my room or I’m going to wreck your f***** face,” a police report says. Baker made other threatening comments as well, including telling the child to stab himself in the throat.
Court documents say the incident was captured on video, which was provided to deputies. The boy told them he feared for his life and didn’t know what his father was going to do, WIS reported.
The child has been placed with a family member, while Baker was charged with unlawful conduct toward a child and jailed on a $25,000 bond.
