Time didn’t heal some old wounds on Married to Medicine, and Quad Webb’s boyfriend King had some things to say about her drama — whether she liked it or not.
During the Season 12 premiere, Miss Quad and Dr. Simone Whitmore each unpacked how their friendship rift had continued, months after their reunion showdown in New York City. The conflict boiled over when Simone and husband Cecil Whitmore did not attend Quad’s birthday party, because the latter did not invite them until just two hours before the bash began.
“You get sick of the up and down and the roller coaster, to the point where — especially me, like, I’m a Taurus — once I’m done with it, I’m gonna be done with it,” Quad remarked in a joint confessional with King. “It’ll just be like I’d never known you.”

“So, you’re sick of it?” King asked, and after she answered in the affirmative, he added, “Guess what? We’re sick of watching it.”
Quad’s fourth wall-breaking response? “Ooh, Lord have mercy. Please cut that part out, chile.”
However, King echoed his sentiment later on in a one-on-one conversation with Cecil about missing him and Simone at Quad’s party.
After Cecil mentioned that “most of the stuff” the ladies were arguing about was “old s–t,” King replied, “And we’re tired of hearing it. … It’s petty.”

Simone’s absence from Quad’s birthday bash was hardly the root of their issues, though.
As Simone previously explained to Dr. Jackie Walters backstage at the Married to Med Season 11 reunion, the discord in her and Quad’s friendship dated back nearly a decade. From Simone’s perspective, Quad only seemed to care about her when cameras were rolling.
Quad, meanwhile, had taken issue with Simone’s friendship with her ex, Dr. Gregory Lunceford, and his new wife, Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford.

Shortly after they returned from NYC, Simone saw an interview in which Quad named her as the biggest “traitor” within the group. Hurt by that comment, Simone, then, appeared on Sweet Tea’s YouTube channel and made a “jab,” as she put it, about Quad allegedly not being able to pay her mortgage on her own.
As Quad revealed on Married to Med‘s Nov. 30 episode, she and King were “still in separate homes,” but their relationship was “going extremely well,” nonetheless.
Simone eventually extended an olive branch by wishing Quad a happy birthday in a group text chain. After Quad replied, in part, that a good birthday gift would be to help pay off her mortgage, she extended the last-minute party invite that Simone declined.

The two came face-to-face later on at Dr. Mimi Sanders and husband Steve Sanders’ Polo Classic event.
After Simone polled the ladies on whether they would have accepted an invitation they received just hours prior to the event, she and Quad rehashed their recent drama in a heated confrontation. (For the record, Quad admitted that she would not have attended a party under those conditions either.)
Eventually, Toya Bush-Harris chimed in to ask if they could “fix this,” and, in her response, Simone, again, referenced their reunion dustup.
“Quad, I am not angry at you,” the Atlanta-area OB-GYN insisted. “I had an angry outburst with you. I think we were both angry. I stayed in bed two days after that. I don’t want to fight. I don’t want to.”
As Simone concluded to the group of their moving forward, “I feel like she needs the time, and we need the space.”
However, several flash-forwards that rolled immediately afterward previewed several more intense arguments to come between the two, later on Season 12.
