Late last month, Louisiana police arrested a man who allegedly tried to purchase a woman’s infant daughter.
Howell Penton, 73, reportedly solicited a woman at the Angie Auction House to buy her 10-month-old. WDSU reported that on November 26, Angie and Washington Parish police conducted an undercover operation which led to Penton’s arrest.
Penton, who is from Mississippi, is charged with the sale of minor children. Authorities have not disclosed additional details about the case.
