Dorit Kemsley Makes Shocking Remark on Divorcing PK: EXCLUSIVE

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Dorit Kemsley continues to navigate life after separating from the father of her two children and estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, but some are still rooting for them.

Dorit’s ever-supportive parents, Shalom and Rachel Lemel, thought of PK as their own son, said the Housewife on Season 15, Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show (as seen in the above video). “They were close to him,” she said, adding that PK’s in-laws hoped they’d live a “long, happy life together.” Of course, the former couple continue to seemingly live separate lives after Dorit filed for divorce in April.

“Listen, I could have walked away a long time ago. A long time ago,” Dorit told Bozoma Saint John. “I stayed and fought for our marriage. So when [my parents] were sitting down, one of them or both of them had said, ‘We still have hope that you two will end up back together.’ I was shocked. I was, like, ‘Whoa, where did that come from?’ Listen, they’re supportive and whatever it is, but I think in their mind, they think also, you know, with the kids and everything…”

Bozoma agreed that the divorce would be “heartbreaking” on multiple fronts, including letting down Dorit’s parents, to which Dorit agreed.

Dorit Kemsley’s parents offer support amid divorce from PK Kemsley

As seen on the Dec. 11 episode of RHOBH, Dorit’s Florida-based parents visited her Encino, California home to take their grandchildren, Jagger Kemsley, 11, and Phoenix Kemsley, 9, back to the Sunshine State for a holiday. During the visit, Shalom and Rachel commented on Dorit’s health amid her marital woes. “I feel the weight of it,” Dorit admitted.

She continued in the RHOBH After Show that she was “sleep-deprived” in the episode, further reflecting on her and PK’s estrangement.

“I remember being surprised, and I’m trying to think, was I sad?” Dorit asked herself. “I think that I have been in a perpetual state of heartbreak. Truly … a perpetual state of heartbreak, through the anger, through the resentment, through the sadness, through the hurt, heartbreak. Like, the foundation is heartbreak, and it’s heartbreak on such a level that it’s like I just cannot wait ’til I can get past the heartbreak. And I have, on a surface level. But not deep. I struggle, because I go between wanting to hate him enough to get over that hump and not.”

How is Dorit and PK Kemsley’s divorce affecting their kids?

Dorit revealed on RHOBH that Jagger, especially, has “the weight of the world on his shoulders” in light of the separation, as she said in her confessional. A trip to Florida with the grandparents seemed to be a great way for the kids to forget about such things. Even Dorit acknowledged, “This is the first time ever that the kids know mommy can’t go, and they’re OK.”

Later in the episode, however, Dorit told the ladies that PK — though an attorney — reportedly tried to block the kids from the Florida visit. “Just to be mean,” she emotionally told Bozoma, Amanda Frances, Kyle Richards, Sutton Stracke, Erika Jayne, and Jennifer Tilly. Dorit took it extra hard because Jagger had repeatedly asked for his grandfather, not PK, according to the mom of two. She said the grandparents’ recent visit helped restore her only son to his former self.

As Dorit later told producers, “My kids, they needed love and support and just to be around family. This is the first time I’m seeing the impact of mine and PK’s divorce, and it’s ripping my heart out of my chest. It just feels like whatever I’m doing is not enough.”

Find out why Dorit and Kyle started butting heads once Kyle came to PK’s defense.
