Although Aesha Scott and Scott Dobson already share a home together in New Zealand and are preparing for their wedding, the couple recently hit another milestone: Scott joined Aesha for their first-ever couple’s confessional on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10.
As they sat down for their joint interview in Episode 12, Aesha asked her fiancé the question on everybody’s mind: “How did you get here?”
Scott recapped the series of events: “I texted Sandy [Yawn], asking when the next day off was,” he recalled. (Viewers then saw a flashback to Scott texting the captain two weeks before his visit. Sandy joked in her confessional, “Captain Sandy? It’s more like Cupid Sandy.”)
Then, “a friend of mine helped me get in touch with Red Bull Alinghi,” Scott shared of the pro sailing team hosting the crew’s day off. “They allowed me to sneak on there and give [Aesha] a surprise.”
But it was Scott’s stealthy entrance that stole the show. As Aesha and the rest of the Bravado crew visited the Alinghi Red Bull Racing Headquarters in Barcelona on a day off, Scott disguised himself as an Alinghi Red Bull crew member, complete with a helmet and goggles. When it dawned on Aesha who was actually standing before her, she teared up, before running and hugging Scott.
“There have been so many moments this season where I’ve been like, ‘Gosh, I really wish that Scott was here,’” she shared in her confessional interview. “And so to actually—finally—spend time together, this is a moment that we will cherish and remember forever. Like, we’ll tell our kids about this one day.”
Aesha Scott reveals if she sees a long-term future in yachting
Although she loves her job as a chief stew, Aesha admitted during the Dec. 15 episode that it might not be her forever career.
“What I love about mine and Scott’s relationship is we let each other go off and chase our dreams,” she told producers. “But I do find the older I get, [I’m] thinking about a future that’s maybe not on a boat.”
Her future plans with Scott are at the crux of that decision. “We’re getting married. We’ve talked about starting a family, and I cannot imagine doing this pregnant,” she confessed. “I’m not saying that I’m done yet, I’m just thinking about the future.”

Aesha has already begun making moves in other ventures, revealing in 2024 that she would be releasing an alcohol-infused coconut water called Drop. In October 2025, she shared on social media that the canned beverages are already on shelves in Australia, with plans to expand to other countries (including the U.S.) soon.
For now, Aesha joked that yachting pays her bills. “Most tip seasons, I don’t care about how much tip money we’re getting, but this season, I need to earn the bloody money, OK?” she said in the Season 10 trailer. “We’ve got a mortgage. I need paintbrushes, I need paint. Do you know how expensive paint is?”
Aesha Scott shares details of her upcoming wedding to Scott Dobson
Aesha first debuted her sparkling engagement ring during the Below Deck Med Season 10 premiere, and shared she was “very excited” for the big day. “I am so grateful that I have Scott, because there are not many men that could handle me,” she quipped.
Although Aesha and Scott pushed their wedding date from sometime in 2025 to March 7, 2026, Aesha said it’s full steam ahead for their spring nuptials.
“It’s planned,” she confirmed during her Sept. 29 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I don’t understand why people get so stressed. Maybe because I’m a chief stew? You just sit down and email people and say, ‘Hey, can you do my wedding?’ And they say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ I’m very simple, though. Noodles and curry, that’s all I need.”

The ceremony will be in Aesha’s native country of New Zealand.
“Scott’s half American, so he’s got a lot of family in California, but we decided at the end of the day, the bulk of our guest list is going to be from our hometown here in Tauranga in New Zealand, so we’re going to do it here,” she told People magazine. “I’m at that age where pretty much all of my friends have young babies or are pregnant with their second, so I thought they’re not going to want to jump on a plane and lug their whole family everywhere. It’s better just to have it around where we grew up.”
She spilled more on the guest list during a 2024 WWHL appearance, revealing that Sandy, Joe Bradley, Nathan Gallagher, and “too many” other yachties would all be invited. Surprisingly, though, Captain Jason Chambers of Below Deck Down Under didn’t make the cut. Read more of Jason’s thoughts on not getting an invitation.
