On Wednesday, December 10, the Southern Charm alum gave birth to Bancroft Limehouse McBride, her first daughter and second child with husband Mark “Struthers” McBride Jr.  Eliza shared the happy news in an interview with People magazine, just a couple of months after announcing her pregnancy.

She told the outlet that baby Bancroft was born 8 pounds at 8 p.m. — the exact time she gave birth to her and Struther’s first child, 4-year-old son Patton.

“We thought she would come closer to our birthdays, but she decided to make other plans!” Eliza said, explaining that she and Patton will ring in their birthdays on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, respectively. “We have been laughing because I designed myself a bracelet with all of our birthstones, and my husband, Struthers, is the random April birthstone, while we are all three blue topaz.”

Eliza Limehouse admits she was “nervous about having another child”

Eliza said she and her family were “beyond excited” to spend the holidays with the precious addition. She described Bancroft as the “easiest baby [she’s] ever met” and was “feeling extremely blessed for [her] little family of four.”

“I did not love pregnancy or birth, but she was definitely worth every minute of it,” the South Carolina mom added. “I was a little bit nervous about having another child, but nobody tells you that your heart just grows bigger and more love comes for both children. Being at our farm with our horses [with] just the four of us is heaven on earth.”

Eliza took to Instagram on Friday night (December 19) to share a closer look at her baby girl and her new chapter as a mother of two. She said she and her family took a weeklong break from social media so they could settle in their “little newborn bubble.”

“She is an angel,” Eliza told her followers. “Life was crazy. I was so uncomfortable with the pregnancy, with the heartburn. I ended up in the hospital because I stepped on a screw that got lodged into my foot. And then I was busy with opening the store (Snaffle Bit Bracelet Co). It was just so crazy. So, here we are. We are in heaven. She is seriously the best.”

Eliza then took a moment to shout out her “network” of support, specifically thanking everyone who sent her family food over the past week.

“I love y’all so much. Thank y’all for keeping us fed,” she said in a subsequent video. “Seriously, if you have anybody in your life with a newborn and you want to do something for them, send them food. That is all.”

Inside Eliza Limehouse & Struthers McBride’s growing family

Bancroft arrived nearly seven years after Eliza and Struthers began dating. The couple got engaged in February 2020 and held a private wedding ceremony later that year.

“From the moment Struthers and I started dating, I knew he was the man I was going to marry,” she told People in 2020. “I’m not kidding you when I tell you, there were fireworks going off! And every moment since then, I’ve just fallen more and more in love with him.”

Four months after tying the knot, Eliza and Struthers welcomed Patton. The South Carolina native spoke about her first pregnancy in another interview with People magazine, admitting it was a happy surprise.

“I was feeling a little off, so I decided to take a pregnancy test, and it was positive,” she recalled. “For the first few minutes, I was in shock, but Struthers was immediately so excited and so supportive… I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I’m just so grateful and excited. I can’t wait to meet my baby. It’s such a blessing.”
