The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne gave a rare update about her only son, Tommy Zizzo, as she navigates some recent changes in her personal life.
“My son is well,” the XXpen$ive singer said in a recent exclusive interview with The Daily Dish about her adult kid, who works as a police officer. Although the update might have been brief, as Tommy lives privately out of the spotlight, Erika confirmed that her son from her first husband, Thomas Zizzo, had officially met her new boyfriend, John McPhee.
She reported only good things about the meetup, adding, “That went well.”

Erika didn’t elaborate on the details of the meeting, but referred to John’s military career as a retired U.S. Army special operations sergeant major when describing the mood. “You know, John’s a hero to many … John is an intimidating guy, so yeah,” Erika continued. “It went beautifully.”
The happy update comes as Erika continues to open up more about her and John’s relationship, which she first confirmed in July.

During her exclusive interview, Erika shared the latest about her and John’s dating life. “Everything is nice, and everything is going great,” she was happy to report. In fact, when her interview took place, Erika had “just got off the phone” with her new man.
“Last week, we were in Arlington Cemetery and laid wreaths,” she explained, a departure from the airy vacation they had in Panama earlier this year. She continued to The Daily Dish, “We like to do all kinds of fun stuff.”

Erika and John have been dating for six months, she confirmed in her recent interview, explaining they’d “met backstage” at one of Erika’s shows in London.

She confirmed dating since June, speaking about it publicly for the first time on the July 30 episode of her Diamonds in the Rough podcast. At the time, photographers had just captured them holding hands in Los Angeles, though Erika maintained they were “simply walking” after two previous dates.
“So this is a really nice person, and I enjoy my time with him,” she told Teddi Mellencamp. “He doesn’t live here, so… Listen, listen, it’s a friend. It’s a nice thing.”

Although John has yet to appear on RHOBH, there is a peek of his cameo via FaceTime in the Season 15 trailer, where newcomer Amanda Frances refers to John as Erika’s “special man friend.” Kyle Richards then yells out, “That was a hard launch!”

Over the BravoCon 2025 weekend in Las Vegas, Erika revealed that Kyle was the first person she let in on the new relationship. “It’s slow,” she explained at the Livin’ in Beverly Hills panel on Nov. 14. “And I think that’s the right thing to do. Just slow.”

“Oh, I’m not over that,” Erika told Sutton Stracke. “I’m heartbroken. It f–king sucks. Knowing that person and being married to that person for that long, and then to see him walk down the courtroom steps like that, knowing that he’s going to die in prison, that’s heavy. On any level.”

After filming, on the Oct. 12 episode of her podcast, Erika described hopes for the future, even if things between her and John were “up for grabs.” “I just don’t know what’s coming, and sometimes that’s OK,” she said. “I want inner peace. I want peace after these last five years.”
