Kyle Cooke is sharing a new look inside the New York City apartment he shares with his wife, Amanda Batula, as he embarks on a journey to grow a flowering plant. The Summer House cast member has been very intent on sharing updates on his potted plant, taking to his Instagram Story to show it off in all of its glory.
Over the past few weeks, Kyle has taken to his Instagram Story to share photos of his red amaryllis flower, planted in a simple white pot and placed on the countertop of their home. The Loverboy founder has been doing some traveling over the past few weeks, but when back in NYC, he shared some big updates on the flower, which has continued to bloom.
In one photo, the plant can be seen with two big blooms on either side of it. “Went to Canada..came back to bloomtown,” he wrote over one photo.
In another photo, taken previously, the plant can be standing tall, with multiple bright flowers decorating the top of it. “Lost a flower, but the 2nd stalk is coming in hot,” he wrote over it. “[Happy New Year] everyone!”
And he was very excited about that second stalk. “Sweet baby Jesus we’ve got a 4 flower bloom with a 2nd stalk climbing at a precarious angle,” he noted over another photo.

But the amaryllis might be finding a new home, as Amanda has expressed her desire to move out of their apartment. Amanda spoke with The Daily Dish at BravoCon 2025 in November, where she revealed that she and Kyle are always looking for a new place to live. Although she did not reveal whether or not they’re ready to move out of NYC, they are currently looking for a “perfect” home for them.
“I have been dying to move,” Amanda explained. “I think you guys have seen for the past five years. So we’re always looking for new apartments…We just can’t find one that we’ve settled on that the both of us like. So we’re still up in the air on that. Like, especially when you’ve lived in the perfect place for six years.”

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula share an update on their NYC living room
While they’re not moving just yet, Kyle and Amanda have made some major updates to their living room in their apartment. Kyle took to Instagram on Dec. 18, where he posted a video showing off the brand new LoveSac couch, ottoman, and coffee table that they recently added to the apartment. The DJ was very excited about the features that came with the furniture, which include a built-in recliner.

“I’ve never had a recliner, let alone a recliner in my couch,” he told Amanda, who was behind the camera. “Did you feel these pillows? They’re like, absurdly soft…We’re gonna need a bigger TV. My couch is so big, I feel like I can justify a bigger TV now.”
