Shannon Storms Beador has provided another update on the special man in her life. And we’re, of course, talking about her dad, Gene Storms.
Before cracking down on her 2026 diet, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom treated herself to an indulgent meal with her father. Shannon shared the happy reunion in a recent Instagram Story in which she and her pops posed side by side at a restaurant.
“A rainy night,” she captioned the photo. “Comfort food dinner with Gene the Machine. Healthy eating starts tomorrow.”
Shannon Storms Beador sheds light on her dad’s personality
The father-daughter outing took place as Gene prepares to celebrate another year around the sun (March). Fans got a glimpse at his 96th birthday celebration in The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19, Episode 8, when Shannon met up with Gene for a birthday lunch.
“When he goes out, he’ll still go up to the ladies,” Shannon said in an episode confessional. “It’s like… he’s a lot. It’s what keeps him young. He’s always laughing. And all the power to him.”

As they enjoyed some drinks and appetizers, Shannon began questioning her dad about his dating life, which he admitted was relatively inactive. Shannon echoed her father, claiming she had no interest in dating at the time; however, Gene pointed out that he sees his daughter spending time with various “gentlemen.”
“They’re not dates, or what?” he asked.
“No,” Shannon replied. “I have a lot of friends that are men, and we do things as friends. I’m happy by myself.”
Gene told Shannon he “run[s] into people all the time” and was trying to find her a suitor.
“I wish I could approach dating the way that my father does,” the OC ’Wife said in an interview. “I’m old-fashioned. I don’t want to be the pursuer. And I’m afraid of having my heart hurt, so I’m proceeding with caution. Slowly.”

Fans got a closer look at Shannon’s dating life in the first season of Bravo’s Love Hotel, a reality series in which Shannon and other single Housewives tried to find romance among a pool of eligible bachelors. Shannon revisited the Love Hotel during her family’s Christmas vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The OC mom shared the tropical getaway in a series of Instagram photos, saying it had been “years” since she went on a trip with her daughters, Sophie, Stella, and Adeline Beador, whom she shares with her ex-husband.
“So blessed to be spending Christmas in Cabo [San Lucas] with them!” she captioned an Instagram. “For Christmas dinner, I went back to the Love Hotel and we had an amazing dinner at Grand Velas Boutique Hotel! A dream vacation so far!!!”

About a month before the Mexican getaway, Shannon celebrated Thanksgiving with Sophie, Adeline, and Gene. Stella, unfortunately, missed the celebration, as she was studying abroad in Paris. The photos showed the OC mom standing with her family members, including her adorable dogs, Archie and Troy.
“Grateful and thankful for my family (missing Stella!!!) and incredible friends!!!” Shannon captioned the November 25, 2025, carousel. “Blessed to spend the holiday with some of my very small core circle!!!”
