Gia Giudice Reflects Being on RHONJ as a Child: “Feel So Bad”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Gia Giudice is thinking about so many things as she rewatches the entire series as an adult. The 25-year-old cast member of Next Gen NYC told her followers she was up to RHONJ Season 3, Episode 16 (2011) when her 9-year-old self wrote and performed the song that went viral amid family conflict.

How to Watch

“Guys, I’m watching Real Housewives of New Jersey from the beginning, and I don’t think I’ve genuinely watched the full episode of when I sang ‘Waking Up in the Morning,’ and I feel so bad for her. I feel so bad for her,” Gia began on TikTok. “But, listen, ‘Waking Up in the Morning’ did solve some things, and now everyone’s together.”

For context, Gia publicly sang the heartbreaking ballad amid a rift between her mom, Teresa Giudice, and her uncle, Joe Gorga. Teresa and Joe’s sibling rivalry went back and forth for some time, but after years of estrangement, the families mended things at BravoCon 2025 in November. “But holy moly do I feel bad for that little girl,” Gia continued, adding that she didn’t realize how much she cried before and after singing the song.

She pouted in the selfie video, growing teary-eyed as she added, “I’m so happy that she’s not sad anymore. I really loved her so much,” she continued. “This is making me emotional; I’m still the same emotional mess. I love that little girl, and I’m so happy she’s doing so much better now.”

Gia Giudice shares details on her family’s reconciliation

The highly hoped-for reunion between Teresa and Joe and their respective spouses, Luis “Louie” Ruelas and Melissa Gorga, put an end to a years-long public feud that had grown so deep that the Gorgas refused to attend Teresa’s 2022 wedding. But ever more than that, it brought together the cousins: Gia and sisters Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana Giudice with Antonia, Gino, and Joey Gorga.

As for the inner workings of how reconciliation became possible, Gia credited her mom on the December 26 episode of Jeff Lewis’ SiriusXM radio show, explaining Teresa and her brother met at their parents’ gravesite.

“They didn’t even make their conversations public or anything like that,” Gia revealed. “They met alone at the cemetery first. It was just them at first, just my mom and her brother. After that conversation went really well, they were like, ‘OK, now it’s time to have a conversation, us four.’”

Later, the sister and brother were joined by Louie and Melissa for a bite to eat at a local restaurant, spurring rumors of an end to their talk-of-the-town family rift.

The Giudices and Gorgas celebrated Christmas Eve together

As planned, the two Italian-American families celebrated their first Christmas Eve together in years, honoring the Roman Catholic traditional holiday meal, the Feast of the Seven Fishes. This year, Melissa hosted the event at their Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, home with Louie’s son, Louie Jr., also in attendance.

Alongside Instagram photos of both families dressed in festive reds and blacks, the Let’s Sprinkle by MG cookies founder wrote, “What a beautiful Christmas Eve.”

Gia shared her own pics on Instagram, from group photos to hanging out arm in arm with her Uncle Joe. Along with three heart-hands emojis, Gia wrote, “Christmas miracles do come true.”

Don’t miss why Gia didn’t plan to visit her father, Joe Giudice, over the holiday season.
