Sutton Stracke and Jennifer Tilly’s shocking friendship drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills took an even more unexpected turn when the latter brought Garcelle Beauvais’ name into the mix.
Because Sutton was not present when Jennifer blamed her for Garcelle’s exit in the aftermath of a heated moment between them during Season 15, Episode 5 (more on that below), she had a few things to get off her chest on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.
As Sutton confronted Jennifer live on camera, she recapped, “You said that I always cause the problems. And that this was why Garcelle didn’t want to be my friend.”

After noting that she and Jennifer have since “moved on” from the drama, which will continue to play out on RHOBH Season 15, Sutton added that having her close friend “bring Garcelle into it,” was a major sticking point for her.
“That part especially hurt because you had seen, over those months, how deeply sad I was about losing my friendship with Garcelle,” she told Jennifer directly. “You saw it firsthand. And so, to say something [like], ‘And that’s why Garcelle doesn’t want to be friends with Sutton,’ I was like, what?!”

Jennifer, for her part, expressed doubt that she’d actually worded her comment about Garcelle in the way Sutton claimed on the After Show: “If I said something like that, which I don’t think I did, I wasn’t saying it to be hurtful,” she insisted.
Regardless, Jennifer went on to explain why she mentioned Garcelle’s name to Kyle Richards in the first place.
Amid the emotional conversation about Sutton’s ex-assistant Avi Gabay during a group dinner in Sedona, Jennifer said that she had simply wanted to “say something wise and reassuring” or “maybe change the subject,” when her BFF snapped at her and wouldn’t let her speak.

“It did hurt my feelings,” Jennifer shared, going on to detail how she’d stepped away to “cool off,” when Kyle approached her and brought up her tense moment with Sutton. “I was sort of venting. …  I didn’t feel like I said anything really harsh.”
The Season 15 friend continued, “I think I was saying something like, you know, sometimes I feel, like, not appreciated as a friend, and maybe that’s what Garcelle felt. …Â Â I wasn’t bringing Garcelle into it. I was using it as an example. Like, Garcelle maybe felt like she was giving more and not getting as much back.”
When Sutton asked why Jennifer “would think that,” she claimed that Garcelle had said as much during the Season 14 cast trip to Saint Lucia. Sutton, meanwhile, denied that the RHOBH alum ever made such a comment on their getaway.

As mentioned, Sutton was in tears as she shut down any further talk about Avi’s firing at the all-cast dinner during RHOBH‘s Jan. 15 episode. When Jennifer eventually attempted to enter the chat, Sutton firmly interjected, “Please stop. Just stop.”
So, when Kyle excused herself to the restroom shortly afterward, Jennifer joined her, and the two eventually had a one-on-one away from the rest of the ladies.
“I didn’t even get one syllable out,'” Jennifer vented to Kyle. “I don’t like to be snapped at for no reason.”
That’s when Jennifer went on to make the controversial comment about Sutton and Garcelle.
“Everybody knows that she’s fragile,” she began, referring to Sutton. “But I do believe that’s one of the reasons why Garcelle left, because it’s always all about Sutton. It’s not about anybody else. … It’s just too much.”
As Jennifer declared, in conclusion, “We all have things going on. It’s not all about you, Sutton.”
